Yep I was looking for some that would just plug in didn't require any modification, happy with the results!
Does the sound deadening make much of a difference, and is it heavy?
Wow Audison is pretty expensive stuff. But with car audio, I guess you get what you pay for!
SXE-1325S
Straight fit, plug and play, literally took 2 minutes to do both sides. £30 brand new off Amazon, not a huge difference, but for that price you can't go wrong really! Thinking off sound deadening some of the car now, especially the rear just to lose some road noise.
Cheers for the offer Mick, I'm busy this weekend myself unfortunately.
Gonna swap the gearbox oil over later this week see if that cures the problem, not holding my breath though, maybe next Saturday I'll pop round if that's not an issue.
Couple of quick jobs done this morning.
New style RS badge fitted
Picked up some Alpines for £20 off eBay, 2 minutes to fit and a great improvement over standard speakers. Should have done this months ago.
I stand by G3 scratch remover, awesome awesome stuff, but even that couldn't remove the mark left my the Renaultsport lettering.
Don't bother trying by hand, it won't work. Get a machine polisher on it. (I just covered it up with the new style RS badge haha)
I know they serve a purpose , but I have to agree with this. If it's not too late, please don't go cutting a massive hole into the roof of your really nice little car!
Finally got to show the Cup some love this morning. First time it's been cleaned in about a month, forgot just how good this colour is!
Nice before and after
No prob, iphone microphone isn't too great I know the video is really quiet for some reason.
I am leaning towards taking the car, once new year holidays are over and I can get away from work for an hour or so.
Haha, not sure why it's playing videos from that playlist. I've got another video for you, may be a bit more useful. I've tried filming whilst driving (naughty naughty) but the car is just too loud you can't pick it up (induction kit & stripped out). Please turn the sound up.
Could maybe...
Try again now lads, made the video public. Steve, I can’t double check right now, but I’m pretty sure the noise remains in every gear, including 5th gear once letting off the accelerator and decelerating. What were you thinking?
Hi guys,
Some of you may know that after a fair bit of work my Clio finally passed it's MOT a few days back.
Well, that happiness and relief has been short-lived, as the Clio has decided to stab me in the back and throw this one at me
In fairness that video makes it sound worse than it...
Here's an idea... Before you spend another penny on that car (including fuel), get some spacers or wider wheels on it. Rear bumper and wing look great but completely ruined by the wheels which sit about 7 feet inwards
Bit harsh, but yeah lose the lights and the stickers as well...
Boom
The little Clio has cost me a fair few hours of pain and misery over Christmas, but I believe I've saved at least £200 doing it myself, so happy days.
Now it's got a full MOT the price has trebled I'm afraid, yours now for £150
So the Cup failed the re-test:disappointed:
Apparently the n/s caliper is now showing almost no effort whatsoever, still causing an imbalance. One thing I didn't check was the rear compensator, will have a look tomorrow to see if that can solve the situation, maybe there is no fluid getting to...
Thanks man. That's good news, now there hub & bearing are on and torqued up there shouldn't be any issues, hopefully, but good to know for the future :)
Typical eh! Getting there slowly
I built my old 106 Gti track as a complete novice car using nothing but a Haynes manual and the internet. As long as you do your homework, be thorough and aren’t afraid to ask questions you’ll be fine mate.
(Then again, 106s are held together by about 3 bolts and some pritt-stick, so a bit...
Also, just cause I haven't got anything else on with the damn car... one of my front headlight bulbs has gone now. Wtf is going on!
Read they're a bit of a pain to swap without taking front bumper off (which I can't be arsed with) so really looking forward to that.
Yes I've heard that, my point was I've also gone OEM upfront as well - would have upgraded but funds just won't allow it. They should do a pretty decent job anyway being brembo!
I did consider this, I really hope not. Anyway, the disc is on, it's done now. Hopefully won't cause me any...
Few things to update on this one!
So firstly, the Clio got annihilated on its MOT on Thursday :pensive:
Thankfully, a fair few of the failures can be fixed a new set of discs and pads all round. But due to funds it's going to take a while, and with MOT garages closing up for holidays, it likely...
