Nice homework btw, checking the MOT history.
In my defence, I asked them to stick the plate on before the test (as I didn't have any tape) - for some reason they decided to completely ignore that and just add it to the failure list - just from that you can tell the MOT tester had it in for me...
Fair point.
Hoping that when I come to changing pads tomorrow, I'll push the pistons back into the calliper and will hopefully free them up a bit? Meaning the offside shouldn't bind and therefore balance out both sides? Am I on the right tracks here?
Took my Cup in for it's dreaded MOT today, and surprise surprise, it failed- on quite a few things.
I know this one has been mentioned a few times across this forum
*Brakes imbalanced across rear axle*
It's also failed on worn rear discs, so I'm obviously going to get these changed along with...
Decent question, thought that as I wrote it haha.
But in seriousness, I do believe it made a big difference when trying to start the car especially in colder weather. It was a project car and only got started every now and again, but only took about 0.299792458 seconds for it to fire up, even in...
Hi there,
On 4 random occasions now, my 172 has refused to start. Turn the key and just a click and nothing, engine won't even turn over.
Strange because the lights and wipers still worked absolutely fine
Try a few times, maybe leave it a few mins, pump the throttle peddle (don't know if that...
I honestly adore these cars. Saw one at Goodwood a few years back, in the same paint style but in Red... a sort of carbon weave paint job.
In the flesh it was absolutely stunning.
My top 5 Supercars...
1. Lambo Murci SV
2. Zonda LH760 (Lewis Hamilton's to be precise)
3. Mclaren P1
4. Noble...
I've got about 6 down my engine bay if you wanna take a look? Along with 4 13mm spanners, 1 hammer and a spare wheel
Bloody nightmare fishing dropped parts outta there
My original post says I've tried contacting them but they're too busy (even for a 10 minute super easy & simple job it seems, a little strange but whatever).
What a stunning, stunning Clio.
Shame about the roof scoop though. I know they serve a purpose, and the CM one is pretty discreet, but I hate to think you've drilled a massive hole through the roof of an absolutely mint little car!
I would, but I can imagine the bill running up quite high when they struggle to turn it off because they're not specialists... there's one around the corner from me so that's a last resort anyway.
Hi guys,
Can around Derbyshire who can turn my airbag & service light off my 172 Cup? I've tried messing around with resistors and nothing seems to be working. The wires don't match up with any of the Cliosport guides. (I've got sparco buckets and sparco wheel).
Also Diamond motors are booked...
There was some loose sound-deadening flapping around under the car, so only jacked it up to reach under to pull it out, hadn't even bothered getting the axle stands out as I was gonna be under the car for 10 seconds, lucky the sill didn't give way whilst I was underneath the damn thing!
Halfway through jacking my 172 up I heard a massive thump and the whole thing nearly slid off the jack.
Lowered it back down (thankfully still had the wheels on) and was greeted with this.
Photo doesn't show it too well, but what's happened is the whole sill seems to have folded in...
Good plan dude, wouldn't bother with a rear strut brace tho. Most pointless thing you can buy for a Clio.
Save the £££ for a Whiteline / pms rear anti-roll bar, heard nothing but good things about them. Need to get one myself next payday!
