I made a little update video on the Twingo, its been pretty much 6 months on the road now and I've had a few messages asking for updates, hopefully this covers them and any other questions I've been sent (y)
I think you have nailed it there, I've owned a slapped together 172 turbo, after going over everything it was fine but when I first had it I had to fix or sort something every time I drove it! Its all in the quality of the build I think where most fall down. My latest is the Twingo (obviously...
Spotted a white Clio 200 on Ashchurch road in Tewkesbury at about 4 o'clock yesterday (13/10/21)
our eyes met across the road, we flashed each other..... :D
Not much else done recently, after the bumper I touched in a few little marks around the car, gave it a clean, light machining followed by a glaze and wax using poor boys products. Looks and feels nice in the flesh but the pics from my phone can never capture it or how metallic the paint is...
1.2tce responds well to a remap with bigger injectors. Injectors from a clio 172 are a direct fit, along with a remap at EFI parts will see a jump from 99bhp to near 130bhp with matching torque. Big fmic air filter and cat back exhaust will see up around 140-145bhp. near that you are maxing the...
Its been nearly 6 months since I've had my DIY F4RT converted Twingo on the road and fully working (y) I've had a few messages asking for updates on it via YouTube and other platforms so was going to slap together a Q&A vid. Is there anything you want to know or want me to include...
The back bumper on the twingo was starting to offend me, tbh I did rush the speed holes on it so I took a little time today to try and neaten it up. I'd also noted that yotah (check his vids on YouTube) had added some extra holes behind the wheels on his car. With the bumper off you could see...
Some great snaps there, some of it really works for me, some of the more modern stuff not so much though. Each to their own. Love the red notch back and freshnmintys acty (different and executed so well)
ps bags are for shopping 😁 :ROFLMAO:
Had a bit of a whoops with the Twingo. TBH The cars felt a little off since the track day but after a drive in a torrential downpour today I thought I'd give it a quick check. Initially it wasn't too bad until I jacked the car up... I think they were never done up tight enough and bouncing the...
Ph1s have the red switch in the bay don't they that cuts the fuel pump? Try resetting that.
P.s it's been years and years since I've had a ph1 so could be making it all up.
Cheers, the more fun I have in it (rather than the commute) the more I fall for it. Could be better on track but then making it stiffer and harder would make it worse as a daily
Managed to give the car a good thrashing at Curborough Sprint Course with the Renault Twingo Owners Club. Was a great well organised event which allowed me to give the Twingo its first aggressive shake down without committing to a full track day then finding issues 10 min in. Great selection of...
Ive not actually seen a build thread on one tbh, most have been built by a company called beanie sport. 3kish drive in drive out. That said it looks like an easy swap and shouldn't be too hard to do
So mine is there which is basically a megane engine with bolt ons, a 197 engine with rotrex supercharger, a 197 engine with exhaust, air filter, then an rs tuning mapped with exhaust and air filter 133, a 133 with a turbo conversion and my old gt engine. Think that's all of them.
Unfortunately...
This morning I have spent a little time collating dyno info for a range of Twingo's. The info was taken from RS Tuning and EFI Parts so pretty accurate vs some no name tuners. I find things like this interesting, you may not but thought id post it up here. On this is a f4rt, SC f4r, N/A f4r, k4m...
