Yeah it's not hard at all mate, just a bit scary lying under the car, i'm always convinced it's going to crush me to death.

Gear linkage needs adjusting, there's a 3mm difference on mine between having reverse or 5th but not both, somewhere in the middle is the sweet spot where I have all gears. Hope that makes sense as i'm quite drunk.

In that case i'd go with the BBS(ish) wheels or the steelies in the first pic, I don't think the minilite style wheels look right on any of the cars you posted.

I prefer the deep dish ones in the last pic. What about deep dish steelies like wellers?

That's why i'll never sell the dog kennel, it's a curbed, dented, scratched, filthy shed of a car, but it's mechanically sound, faster than it looks and i've have so many good times in it/because of it, it's more of a friend than a car, it would be like selling my dog, I just couldn't do it.

I used to get ABS Serv & TC come on all the time, so a few years ago I started pressing the ESP switch every time I turned the key, never seen those lights come on since. I guess you could call that a fix, of sorts.

Depends on how knackered the box is, i've seen people pay a sh*t load more for a rebuild than that. But if the rebuild cost is the same as a second hand box then i'd go with the rebuild.

BRG is quite a dull colour, it's your car at the end of the day so you can paint it any colour you like, I just think a nice red would look loads better.

Only Brooklands green Mk1 in the country apparently, he didn't tell the lad he bought it off he was changing the colour incase it upset him. lol

Selector shaft seal, mine does it too, i've decided it's just easier to top it up every couple of months.
