Depends on your budget,
the JC5 130 I bought was £275 and 10k miles newer than my old one,
it's done a track day and 2 drag days where it's been subjected to burnouts and 7k rpm gear changes,
i've hammered it as much as you can and it's still going strong 3 years later and that's on a daily driver.
Yeah it's not easy, I wouldn't be able to do it on my own,
luckily through CS i've made mates that could easily do it and would come over and help me,
I bought a new clutch to go in mine when I changed it.
If you got yours rebuilt, you'd still have to pay for it to be removed, then refitted, on...
You'll have to pick a colour before the engine goes in,
unless you're painting the engine bay a different colour?
Although knowing you you'll build the thing, get it working, tune it just right,
then pull the engine out to paint the thing.
I said NATO green to begin with, but it's not 'look at me' enough for him. :rasp:
So i'd manage to convince him to go with Pillar box red with black wheels and accents,
signal yellow's too close to liquid yellow for my liking.
Yeah that doesn't sound good at all,
there's a JC5 in the for sale section for £250.

I've been using a JC5 130 I got at a breakers yard for the past 3 years.
I'm sure you mentioned getting rid of it when you went on your selling frenzy,
also I thought you lost the workshop space?
I take it it's in Sams garage?
I don't get why the Drive network have gone the pay to view route,
I used to watch all their vids, now I don't watch any,
whereas Finnegan and Freiburger mentioning sponsors and the brand names
of the parts they're using doesn't bother me in the slightest.
I think the big difference is that...
Best episode ever!
Not only is it 46 minutes long rather than the normal 20,
but they bring out the General Mayhem Charger again, by far the best sounding car in the universe ever!
Shopping sliding into the dog,
no back seats and a massive Alsation means he's not going anywhere,
the shopping on the other hand ends up all over the place,
so I used to tie the carrier bags to the strut brace, worked a treat.
It did stop the shopping from sliding into the dog, so it wasn't completely useless.
The only way to firm the back up on these is the Whiteline ARB kit.
I was convinced my rear OMP strut brace improved the handling,
took it off the other week to fit in a load of camping stuff, haven't put it back on,
turns out it does f*ck all.
