Oh, it was the engine side of things I was interested in. :dapprove:
Didn't know they came with an original V6, thought it was a replacement for the stock engine.
It's the coolest UK car i've ever seen, shame the UK wasn't ready or swooping lines and 50s style fins.
Looks exactly like this...
I wouldn't mind helping on the Capris Consul restoration, that thing's cool as f*ck,
do you think Andy would be alright with me lending a hand on tear down?
It would be a good way for me to learn the basics on a carb'd classic.
The one thing that bothers me about my prolines is that the back is so much higher than the front,
i've no back seats because of the dog so there's less weight in the back.
I have been thinking, is it worth spending £120 just to make it sit a little lower?
But if the ride and handling is better...
The XR3i was the ultimate/original Chav car back in the 90s,
but the word Chav hadn't been invented yet, so we just called them tw*ts instead.
While most of you were getting your nappies changed,
McDonalds car parks were full of XR3i's perfecting handbrake turns.
Just because something's old doesn't make it a classic,
now if it was the GSI then that would be a fair price seeing as it needs work, but a 1.2?
They're dreaming imo.
There are loads of 20 year old Escorts out there, but only the XR3i's and RS Turbos are considered classics,
the rest are just...
This is how I stop people from seeing in the boot.
I don't have any back seats because of my Alsation,
the waterproof cover is from argos and is purely there to stop everything getting covered in mud,
but from the outside it just looks like a seat cover.
There's no way of securing the boot...
What's wrong with PTFE gaskets then?
I've had them on mine when Jam Sport did my inlets,
they seemed like decent lads when I was there, i'm sure they'd sell you some if you paid for postage.
