I think it was a 54 plate Iceburg 182.
Nottingham Rd, Eastwood 2pm
You had your girlfriend in the passanger seat.
Car was looking proper shiny!!
Puts mine to shame.
When I fitted my rear OMP Strut Brace I noticed the difference straight away,
I have no back seats so the back always felt a bit soft, the first 90 degree
bend I through it in to told me it was money well spent.
It depends on how you drive as to wheather you will notice any difference,
if you...
The money you will make on breaking it for parts will be a decent
amount, F4R engines change hands for £500 - £1000 depending
on condition, miles etc
On the other hand the money you will loose on future insurance
premiums will be alot more than the loss you will incure on breaking.
Its just...
The reason I have a standard looking car is beacause most people on the roads think its just a normal clio 1.2, 1.4, 1.6 etc.
Its had a few bits done to it, Springs, Brakes, Zorst, Inlets Matched,
rear seats gone, and a rear strut brace, so its a fair bit quicker than
standard.
Ive recently...
Rare as rocking horse sh1t, never seen one before.
Thought it was a cup at first but it had all the R27 stckers on it.
Being driven by a middle aged man, flashed you but got blanked, I was in my Iceberg Silver 172.
Spotted between 2:30 & 3:00pm
It does appear that it would be cheaper to buy those discs
and get separate bearings and ABS rings.
Ive dona a bit of a search and it does seem that people buy generic
discs from anywhere as the back only do 25% of the brakeing.
I was gonna buy some brakes from ebay
Mintex rear discs with Bearings, abs rings and mintex pads
£95 plus £12 postage, Bargin I thought.
"THE MOTORIST CAR PARTS WAREHOUSE" (company Name)
I rang them up to confirm the price and a guy answered the phone
with a "yeah", this diddn't fill me with...
Spent half an hour bending over the engine,
my back is ruined now.
Been meaning to do this for weeks,
after seeing everyones mint cars at the Matlock meet yesterday it made me want to do something to mine.
If you changed sizes then it probably would be classed as a cosmetic
mod, I'm talking about brand of tyres intead of size, unless
wider tyres were an option when the car was new,
even factory options need to be declared, they just wont replace
them if the car gets written off.
I had a golf...
Ive got a GDI (Piper) Stealth and when I told my insurers they asked me
"does it change the cosmetic appearance of the car" i.e. does it stick out
the back. No it sits in the same position as the original. To which they
answered "its not classed as a modification"
Just make sure you tell the...
Get them out!
In my PH2 the back seats with the bar
weighed 20 kilos, car feels much lighter now.
I put some carpet down and fitted an OMP rear strut brace.
When I put them back in for MOT time the car feels like Sh1t.
The noise inside will increase, but it depends on how loud your exhaust is.
