I thought it was a good idea till I saw a photo of it,
now i'm undecided, the pic is suzuki white but the brightness
could just be the camera flash bouncing off the strips.
I want to do the gear knob insert in white, but I dont know
weather having a white insert with silver strips would look...
At some point in the future i'm gonna be doing this white dial conversion,
possibly with carbon effect film in the middle bit.
With these chrome dial rings,
I want to colour code the dash strips, but I dont know what colour to go for.
White to match the dials like this?
Or...
Yesterday my SERV light came on, Ive plugged my RST Box
in to the car but no fault codes stored?
I did a search and it's been mentioned that it could be a low fluid level
somewhere, but all fluids are fine.
Could it be that my washer jets aren't working?
You could just buy the first cheap second hand set of wheels you
like in any colour and then have them re-sprayed or powder coated?
Not sure on prices of re-spray or coating though?
If your not going on track days or have a heavy foot then
theres probably no point, i've just got a bit addicted to
power to weight ratio.
But then if I wanted a cheap car to run thats still quick
I would have stuck with my Golf GT TDI 4Motion.
I just got a bit bored with it.
I'm not bored...
Im not a fan of the red rim either but coded the same colour
and they should look good.
I understand that you want the same look as Turini's for a fraction of the price,
but if they get slated don't let that put you off.
At the end of the day your the one driving it.
Im planning on getting...
There alright,
I would'nt have them on mine but then i'm not a big fan of Turini's.
If you like them then thats a good enough reason to buy them mate.
Personal taste and all that.;)
Ive got standard 172 alloys that a battered to f*ck,
I was hesitant to get the refurbed because I know that on the
first day I got them on i'm bound to scuff them on something.
I saw these rim things and thought problem solved.
Wheel protectors.:S
I'm pretty sure there plastic,
I know your all gonna say they look gash,
but I thought they were a good idea, sort of.
This is where i'm proved to be in a minority of one!
And commence hatred:mad:

Looks like i've been quite lucky with mine then, but then I have spent
a fair bit on modds and servicing over the last 2 & a half years since ive had it.
4 new PE2s
New windsreen (£60 excess thank god!)
Replaced all the fluids,
Cambelt service,
Goodridge lines,
Piper (GDI) Stealth SS Cat back...
Still going strong, but I have heard that things start to go wrong around this time, so what can I expect?
Apart from the washer jets not working, thats allready happened.
CamBelt was done a year and a half ago.
I know what you mean, ive taken my Renault Sport
badge off the back so the local plebs dont know what it is.
Not the best area to own a RS clio.:dapprove:
I know new noises are normal for clios
but this one has me a bit worried.
It's a spinning noise, like somethings wearing out,
my first thought is Aux belt or maybe alternetor?
The cars no longer starts first time in the morning so
maybe alternator.
The cars coming up to 70k so I know...
56mph!!? You must have the patience of a saint!!
My head would explode if I drove that slow;)
I drive at 80mph everywhere my on the Motorway so in relation
I guess im getting really good fuel economy:cool:
45mpg!! the best I manage is 40mpg on the motorway taking it easy,
but I do boot it everywhere else.
The only thing with a NA car is selecting the right gear for the corner,
once you've had your cambelt done you'll be down shifting into 4-5k rpm
and sh!tting yourself at how quick it pulls out...
I know what you mean, I always drove German TDIs and I thought
they were quick, im now fully converted to petrol rockets!
Ive had mine over 2 years now and it still makes me smile everyday.
Does the back bounce around when cornering on bumpy roads?
Mine did this when I first got it, 2 knackered shocks on the back,
replaced and all was fine.
My car doesn't get skittish until 120mph, slightest bump and its
a bit of a handfull, stable up till that point though and i'm running...
The only thing I would worry about on a cup is no ABS,
its saved my172ff a few times.
Also i'm not sure how much your gonna like any 172 compared to your Golf,
I had a GT TDI and in traffic jams and long journeys I miss the comfort and
goddies like cruise control. Clios are a bit basic.
If...
F*cking headcase!
That kind of driving must be normal in Turkey,
hardly anyone beeped at him.
If you posted a vid like that from this country the old bill would
lock you up and through away the key!
Love the lane markings - now you see them, now you don't!
MENTAL!!
