    Engine rebuild

Can’t remember 100% but I think I got told to run the 197 spark plugs with that setup. Also 197 injectors. 225 ones can’t be scaled down enough on these for the power 👍🏻

    Engine rebuild

Happy to rent out my 197 timing tool. I don’t have the other bits though @Mack182

    Engine rebuild

@scullyg40 currently half way through an engine swap and putting the cams in with fresh belts etc. 197 timing tool arrived the other day so got most of the bits now. @Niall on here has a 197 hybrid build. His made just over 200bhp at efi if I remember. All just figures and numbers I know but...

    Engine rebuild

@Mack182 Im in / was in a similar position. No rush, and the want of an engine that’s capable of near 200bhp. Went through the costs of rebuild, bought all the 197 parts you mentioned including pistons, valves etc. Basically everything bar stripping it down to rebuild then it dawned on me the...

    Engine building, timing, upgrades etc

@colesy just come across the thread. Going down a very similar route but with 197 cams. Hoping to get booked into efi at some point this year so will be good to compare the group n vs 197 cams (vague I know)

197 Throttlebody on 172? and pedal replacement

Unsure on if a 197 throttle body would fit but I do have a 1*2 throttle body for sale if you need one. Fully working when removed.

    2118

Depending on offset yeah they fit. I had et42 on my cup with 10mm rear spacers and 18mm fronts. No issues at all on eibach springs. Depends how low you are going though.

    Coilover rebuilding

Been told they can be rebuilt by kw, but was wondering if it can be a home job or if anyone has any better recommendations really. At a glance they seem to be threaded at the top of the damper so should unscrew. Have you done any before @PhillipM

    Coilover rebuilding

I have a set of St suspension coilovers off my Vauxhall combo van. Yes I know not strictly a Clio but I’m sure this thread could come in handy for others at some point. One of them has started leaking so I’m looking to get it sorted with a new seal or a rebuild if possible. I have spoke to...

    Clio's & Coffee @ EFI Parts

Just re read through the thread and. As there’s only 3 people who have rsvp’d saying they’re going maybe I should take it back about it being a good turnout then ? Surely there’s going to be others heading down for a look who aren't in Clio’s or am I wrong?

So with two weeks to go, what’s everyone bringing? Should be a good turnout and fingers crossed the rain should be out the way by then!

172 Cup .... Third time lucky

In a turn of events it’s now the cup that’s getting broke while the BG 182 is still in daily duties. Plans are in place for a new engine for the 182 when the cups gone... watch this space

172 Cup .... Third time lucky

172 Cup .... Third time lucky

Due to a change in circumstances at the end of the month I was going to be putting the BG up for sale and just keep the cup. Unfortunately at the end of the week I noticed it starting to smoke at high revs. Due to this it’s up for sale and I’m just going to cut my losses on it. A sad day in...

172 Cup .... Third time lucky

I’ve got cup shocks and eibach sportline springs on both Clio’s and can’t fault them for day to day driving! When I bought the cup it had coilovers all round and was set up stiff as a board, granted it drove well but would have been way to firm for a drive to the shops! All depends how your...

172 Cup .... Third time lucky

Recently the cups took a back seat as I’ve sold my daily runner and stupidly bought a 182 to drive for a bit. Instant regret as it’s cost me a small fortune and I’m not even two weeks into ownership.
