any car is worth remapping if done properly and that's the key statement. Your neighbour getting the files for free unless hes a nice generous guy who works for a highly regarded mapping company is a walk away moment.
best way to increase power on the 1.4 16v if your set on mapping it is wait...
that's the one, bought it brand new, went bang 1500 miles later, they made a c**t of repairing it, I fought them for 9 months, RUK, Arnold Clark and RCI Finance all involved, got no where, traded in £4k out of pocket when it was 11 months old! - older and wiser now I would have point blank...
r27 was my favourite car I owned out of ph1 172, ph2 172, 172 cup, 182, 182 trophy, 197 r27 and 200 with cup pack. - the 200 would have been it but mine was a heap. yellow R27 with 200 box, rack, and dampers would be perfect for me
that was always the mk3s appeal it was never compromised, the short 6th gear was s**t on the motorway but when you change at the shift light in 5th and it only drops about 300rpm then its fantastic when your pushing on!
I do a load of miles in my Dynamique S Clio IV and I never get the urge to take the trophy these days, I only drive it when I'm going out for a blast, I have no want to sit in traffic or drive thru town in it! and its 100% standard, hardly a race car - Lovely seating position, arm rest, the best...
I done 500 miles a week in my 197, all B roads with a stretch of motorway at 5am start 8pm finish so it was quiet roads and was a riot, I loved it although it kept breaking lol done the same trip for a bit in my 172 cup and it was equally as fun but I was exhausted when I got home lol the mk3 is...
FANTASTIC! that's just the solution I'm looking for! will get in touch with him once ive got the car built. Yeah went for the TRW manifold and downpipe, waiting on it turning up. still to sort out a turbo, will stick a project thread up when parts start arriving!
Looking for a bit of advice. I picked up an MOT failure 1.6 16v Clio mk2 for £100, I had one of these years ago and always found it a good little engine, anyway ive since got it on the road and after a few weeks of pondering what to do with it and some youtube time watching what some of the...
you need the small plastic elbow that comes out of the turbo, I needed it when I put an 80 Intercooler onto a 65.
currently your turbo outlet just goes thru a U shaped hose direct into the engine inlet.
the big plastic pipe comes from the engine inlet, down the the o/s of the engine bay to the...
I'm really confused by the Clutch concerns? even if the 5,000 miles have all been done on a quarter mile track, I bet the car with launch control wears the clutch a lot better than any of us doing a launch in a proper, I mean older clio RS.
front needs to come up a bit but that looks great! I had AP's on my Twingo GT and they were fantastic for the money. much better than FK's I had used previously on Clios
also it would suit a smaller front plate like the 172/182s run!
loads I can think of, granted not all are using the full budget.
mk2 FRS
mk3 FRS
Impreza RB320
R34 gtr (not looked at prices for a while not sure if they are still sub 30k)
Megan's r26-r
as Danny says 182 trophy althow u might need more than 30k by the time a few months have past
sub 30k for...
definitely worth trying to get a run in one, I never rated them at all then my centr box failed and I didn't want a flat spot so akra seemed like the option at the time without getting a remap which soon added up to the same sort of cash!
driving about its not much louder than standard and on...
akrapovic would finish that off lovely, they don't sound all that in videos but in real life they are the best sounding exhaust I've ever heard. I never got over mine after I sold the car! I'll probably have another 200 just to get one again!!
there is a big difference between a freshly rebuilt (or new) set of sachs and the performance of them after many thousand miles and with one leaking though!
