non genuine ones are boomy and the bends are always restrictive on them.
ive just fitted a new genuine one on mine and the car sounds as it should, nice noise when going for it and quiet around town. fits perfect too of course
jesus that does seem expensive compaired to what ive been reading online but most of the ones ive been reading into are just straight 3-5yr finance where you own the car at the end
no i skipped to the end when someone started discussing if silvervisions were aloud
slicks to me are not road tyres, and if that's what they refer to on here then that's odd?
for that reason i think nominating a road tyre rather than slicks would be better, as many of us yonger ones don't have licences to tow so we could have road legal cars (of course you can swap wheels but it ends up with everyone with road wheels lying about just complicates things!
im with something along the lines of freds idea...
standard inlet/airbox, no matching.
standard ecu, do what you want with mapping (everyone will just run fastchip 98ron!)
standard diameter discs and standard callipers do as you please with manufactuer/compound
nominate a tyre for the series...
never driven a 197 but I found the low down pull on my 200 better than my 172's but obviously that was one of the 200s stronger points with the different cylinder head and gearbox ratios
something looks funny with the back end of your car, heres my most recent one, you will notice my front drivers hub is bent and had to be corrected with a camber bolt until I get a new one ordered, also my caster is out as im running cup arms
loosen the 4 bolts on the upper drivers side engine mount, get someone to pull the engine forward as far as you can and tighten the mount back up, that usually cures it!
I bought a 172 for £1000 and spent £1300 on it the day I got it to make me happy with it.
now its a bit tatty on the outside/inside but it drives perfect!
you not get on with the gearbox? I loved it, loved it even more in my DCI106!
id also consider a fiesta ST150, ive never really given them a thought until I had a shot in one a few weeks ago and kinda wish I had gone for one of them for a change instead of another 172!, ok so performance wise...
the springs lower the front more so its slightly nose down, helps the turn in.
I had a 1.6 16v with they springs fitted...
if its a dynamique you have it should already have the 172/182 spoiler fitted, but if its a 03 plate or older it will be black plastic rather than colour coded, if its a...
I done it, well I went Clio 172, Clio 200, Twingo GT, Clio 172
I love the 200 and would have kept it if mine wasn't a nail, I considered getting another as I wanted to love the car and loved the way it drove when it was working, just mine was a heap.
personally I found the 200 was a better...
1.6 is a good little engine but not very tunable, Fastchip (www.fastchip.nl) do the RS tuner which allows you to upload one of their ECU maps, a few of the 1.6's on here are running them. Not massive gains to be had but gains none the less.
panel filters in the standard airbox can free them up...
