Knocking under hard acceleration

Picking up a cup today. When I test drove it it and pushed it hard it made a knocking noise. I remember my old cup doing this, maybe not as bad though. Is it just tired engine mounts? It's on 80k

Mine stopped knocking after changing the dog-bone to powerflex.

What are adv ,disadv over power flex? Cost difference?

loosen the 4 bolts on the upper drivers side engine mount, get someone to pull the engine forward as far as you can and tighten the mount back up, that usually cures it!

Thanks. I'm thinking of changing mounts anyway. Would you just advise standards?

personally yes that's what I just fitted to mine, made a world of difference

my bet is its the gearbox mount, had the same issue but i changed to uprated mounts

Dog bone is best with power flex. makes the gear shifting way better.
Other mounts I'm using original, but it's not a track day car.
