mk2 clios that are driven hard are bad for wearing out inner track rods and track rod ends, ive had 2 of my past cars do it, one by 45k miles and one by 80k miles. worth changing them and having a proper geometry setup done. loads of people fit the best suspension and brakes and overlook this!

i think people get hung up on numbers too much, when running turbo torque 240/250bhp in a mk2 clio would be phenominal on the road! no need for anymore really

good to know, too many conversions out there giving a massive lump of power at 3500rpm braking traction, gearboxes, and anything else that gets in its way lol!

ive yet to see a turbocharged F4R that has the drivability of the F4Rt though, if going to all the effort id do it properly and fit one of those, sure there was a guy on here running something crazy like over a bar of boost at 2k rpm!

i lost more in a year in my 10yr old ph1 than i lost in my brand new dci, same goes for my mk2 172

if i was building something serious it would be a ph1 172, 2.0t megane 230 conversion, LSD, remap/exhaust & intercooler for a nice 270bhp and loads of torque, boost from low down unlike the turbo conversions. real drivability!

gearbox oil is a must to keep it running well. who changed the cambelt and not the aux belt? terrible practice that!

i dont mean over months, just maby one month on your payday or what ever buy a case, psu, any cooling fans, drives etc then the next one a montherboard, and memory, then the next a graphics card or what ever else you fancy. usually better for people who cant save lol

build a gaming pc over time and spend £100 on an IBM ThinkPad T43 for uni. problem solved.

my dci gt was 14.5k and after 25k/1yr its probably worth 11k not bad for a brand new car tbh

1.9 is a w**k engine tbh if going to the massive effort of doing it id do the 2.0 16v DCi 150/175 from the megane, much much better and more powerful engine. overkill in a clio though! would destroy a 172 imo!

a gaming laptop for £300 is going to have to be 2nd hand and is going to be old technology that to be honest isnt great!

could have been me, but mine is white, and a mk3, and a dci, with no sachs and no speedlines. actually maby it wasnt me. did it have winter tyres? obviously did if it was still moving in this cold weather

a 3 door rs just looks like a 1.2 with a spoiler and speedlines anyway...

just because its got 5 doors it doesnt mean it has to look w**k, just 5 door clios have looked a bit w**k in the past. focus ST and Mazda 3 MPS pulls it off fine! EDIT: whats going to make or break it for me is the torque figure, i think a corsa vxr has something weak like 170lb/ft? the clio...

in mk2 ie van shape 100bhp is the highest you could get, 106bhp was the mk3 model.

there was a full dci100 that had been in a rear end shunt went on ebay for £700 the other day, was seriously tempted to buy it plus a van shell!

i wouldnt touch 2nd hand again i prefer brand new but depends if you worry about loosing money or not. storm grey i beleive is now unavailable so will need to be 2nd hand, as is alien green

yep in mk1 clios they done a 1.9d and in the mk2 ph1 they done both a 65hp 1.9d and from memory a 80hp 1.9dti

actually i think in the later ones they had 70hp but it was the same engine

reanult dont do any naturaly aspirated dci engines. the vans only come in 65hp form as far as i know

wont get more than 95bhp out one with a remap and probably need an intercooler for that. they are a 1.5 dci 65 as standard
