Lol we call him moley, moley, moley at college as he has a nice big mole on his face, we were like instead of spoiling a valver why didnt you get that removed, lol sorry for anybody with moles that may be on this forum especaily the garden type.
Yea i know this car he lives in bath i go to the same college as him but a year above and yes he only has nos for the purge lol i dont like it at all to be fair.

Next to the battery there is a fuse box take the cover off and there are 3 relays in there black in colour led on there side take them out see if the got and corrodsion/green colour on them also check the loom as well theres also a big white multiplag in the check for damp in it put it bck...
what we do at my dealership is take the sub frame down on stands and swing it across out the way surrport the engine and take of g/box mount and lower the engine box assembly undo the bolts and swing the g/box out and down.
even if the rac man did clean them that doesnt always work depends if damp has entered the relay also the wiring is proberly corroded shame if u were in bristol i would have had a look. i would have a look at the relays and wiring as u have replaced tdc sensor.
sounds the same problem i had 2 weeks ago there is a fuse box by the battery remover cover and the should be a relay block lying on its side unclip it and look there well b 3 black relays remove relays and check if there damp or have rust/green colour on them then turn wiring block over and...
On the steering question i would say its basiclly asking electric or fluid p/s and yea just order the tools you need from renault they normally start 00 00 ...... should give a selection on the parts computer.
Is it the side of the carpet by the door?
if so it could be leaking through the speaker because they have no door membraines water goes down back of door panel through gap in speaker runs down through speaker grill and on to carpet but only seen one clio with this fault.
