My car won't start :(

  renault clio 1.4 si 2000
hi guys! any help here wud be appreciated!
last week my clio wouldn't start for the first time since i got it (18k ago!). got the rac out, and he said the relays needed cleaning. worked fine for a week. the on sunday it wouldnt start again. same problem, starter motor goes, it sounds like a tommy gun! the battery's fine, its just not sparking at all. there's no power goin to the sparks. rac again, but it randomly started, got down to the pub, wouldnt restart. the rac turned up, fired first time. he said TDC sensor, but the next day it took me ages to start it, so i took it to my m8's garage. we've changed the sparks, HT's and the TDC sensor. still only firing occasionly. were gonna take it to a guy with a diagnostic system, but i dont know...:(
my mechanic laughs that itll be my dodgy wiring, but all ive done is put some wire some pc neons into the cigarette lighter's wire's and forgot to attatch the passenger window winder when putting my speakers in. surely this cant be it??
Help me....

sounds the same problem i had 2 weeks ago there is a fuse box by the battery remover cover and the should be a relay block lying on its side unclip it and look there well b 3 black relays remove relays and check if there damp or have rust/green colour on them then turn wiring block over and check wiring for rust/green colour on them if nothing found have a quick look at wiring going from box as if a wire is broken then its will have like a green lump on it. hope this help as i caught mine just in time as the relays werent green but if there green or damp replace them watch out hopefully you havent got to have a loom seen quite a few cars which this fault as i work for renault whereabouts are you?

im in sheffield. yeah, the first rac guy cleaned down the relays, seemed to think that was it, started first time, been fine for a week. now the same... i do worry about the wires, i had to have all the earth cables and the oil sensor changed when i got it, tho the garage i bought it from did it all free.

even if the rac man did clean them that doesnt always work depends if damp has entered the relay also the wiring is proberly corroded shame if u were in bristol i would have had a look. i would have a look at the relays and wiring as u have replaced tdc sensor.
