lower subframes for the standard seats giving you a proper driving possition, theirs been talk of it for years and nothings ever came of it. the 1 problem with these cars is the driving possition the market is MASSIVE
mrs car has snapped a coil spring so looking for something uprated, not interested in coilovers or mega low just looking for something a little better. lets see some pics?
also got a set of sportlines lying about might stick them on it or a set of 172 springs
F4R 172 engine is a possible swap however its not straight forward.
1.8 16v/2.0 16v Valver/williams engine is fairly straight forward though, especially with a doner car!
because i do nearly 1000 miles a month and its nice to have the power and torque when i get to a decent road to go for it and have a load of fun :) it also trasformed my car from being nippy to having genuine overtaking power (by that i mean something i consider acceptable for safe overtakes...
my mrs managed fine at 17 in my 190bhp 172! was only £200 a year or something to add her on too!
however, if your buying a house then the dci is a good step. personally id look to find a Dynamique S DCi 106 as that way you get the 6 speed box, plenty torque and 106bhp, however i beleive they...
its finding a set theirs a guy on ebay selling a set for £50 with doorcards with the airbag burst out 1 of them but he wants collection only and ive even offered to pay for a pallet collection to collect them but nothing, tried to buy the doorcards seperate too but still wont take me up on it
usually i wouldnt contest anything to do with this, but i would in this case, you moved the car a short distance, you wernt aware, if you get 6 points u loose your licence which means you loose your job.
yes but lets remember that a remapped diesel with a decent remap will do better mpg while doing average driving than it will pre map. yes you may be 2 or 3 mpg down when giving it full throttle overtaking with 4500rpm gear changes, but if you care about mpg then you wont be driving like this so...
ahh sorry were you on about upgrading to 80 injectors on a 65 as a mod?, i thought you ment you didnt want to map incase the injectors failed. you could probably get a set of 80 injectors supplied and fitted for £400 maby less, along with a £275 remap, that would be less than £800 for 50bhp...
never! i like silver :) they are getting done next month due to having to weld a blob of weld to the locking nuts and hammer a socket over the blob to remove lol some burn marks on the wheels (was planning on doing them anyway!)
on the look out for a 2nd set i may do black though!
injectors arnt a problem with remaping etc, the fuel system is fine, its people putting tuning boxes on them and ramping up the fuel pressure that will cause problems with the pump.
imho the only problem you will get from remaping is premature clutch wear if driven hard
no that will be an update list, you need a tuner list, can use one from a clio, megane, laguna etc etc as long as its tunerlist (says on the bottom right hand corner of the face.
ones from other models may have different colour LED's under the buttons however
mpg when really going for it gets slightly worse but not that much. around town it gets better (on the good maps anyway)
the guy who mapped mine offered me 3 options!
massive economy map (with a small gain!)
in between map
big power map
power please!!!
na not as little as that i beleive 980kg or there abouts?
at a guess, 175/180lbft, trying to think if anyone on cliodci.net has a mapped 80?
it would be on par with the twingo id say, slower in first and 2nd due to diesels not reving very high or accelerating quickly low down in the box...
ive had a blast with a standard vrs when it was first mapped and it was on par with the vrs, i would think the vrs would have been quicker above 80mph on the motorway but i was on a twisty B road so didnt get a good comparison to actual straight line speed.
my mate has a 120bhp stripped out...
heres a video i done a while back showing what happens when you put your foot down in 5th at 60mph on the motorway for an overtake, would have been a bit quicker had i actually been on a smooth motorway ;)
i was forced to downgrade my last 190bhp 172 to the 100 when i was moved from work and honestly didnt regret it, the money saving was considerable (unlike if i had downgraded to a 1.2 or something) so i loved that fact. plus its so quiet and smooth around town unlike my 172 was, its quite funny...
my old 65 used to do around 700 miles to a tank and that wasnt trying massively hard either, i recon the 100 would do 650 to a tank (that equates to around 60mpg using an online calculator) so sounds about right
