why wouldnt a garage be competent to change a sump, just because its scotland doesnt mean we only know how to repair horse and kart lol
anyway, sump and probably an hours labour, not to expensive assuming theirs no engine damage
got a black 172 that is swirled to bits! im going to do it on wednesday when im off.
ive got a pc polisher but not used it in years so need everything recomended to me pads the lot!
just give me a list from start to finish, clothes, wash mitt everything lol ideally dont want to spend over...
that will probably be a ph3 unless its late registered, my 100 is a ph3 and was registered then.
differences....
grey headlights
facelift front bumper with lower grill
different upper grille
different interior pattern
different dials with digital fuel and coolant temp guages
colourcoded rear...
HAHAHAHAHAH
anyway, to the op, is that axel stand on the jacking point, ull just bend them to f**k doing that, put it on the big cross member that runs the length of the car
taken from the press...
someone will be able to check if they use different part numbers than the cup but i remember being told at the time that it was just normal cup rear suspension
lol na im over it now that ive got the ph1 lol i never want to be in it again right enough as it is seriously quick lol
it looks just like any normal 172 with black wheels there, but in reality its probably one of the quickest N/A ones running the standard throttle body about!
lol sold it 3 years ago! and how did you count lol it launches at 2 seconds and hits 65mph indicated (lets say thats 60 odd gps) at 13 so probably somewhere between 10 and 11 seconds, was RR'd at 85bhp and stripped out!
K4M 1600 16v engine is good, its not a fast car but a nice car to drive i like driving my mrs one, nice and torquey low down for effortless pootling about!
HOWEVER, i get better mpg from my 172 than she gets and she drives like a granny
the dci 100 gets more than twice the MPG, has a chunk...
kumho ecsta nearly killed me with only 85bhp in my old 1.2 AVOID!!!!!!
for the cash, i cant fault toyo T1R's £30 a tyre in 195/50/15 from camskill or ebay, i swear by them on my dci, they hapily put down 190lb/ft!
on my 172 i used to swear by eagle F1s but they got quite expensive and imo...
it depends, personally i want an imaculate car with FSH as its easier to sell on for decent cash when it comes to selling it but plenty people still go by this millage is everything rule when buying and dont realise a modern car will do many hundred thousand miles!!
loosen rear exhaust hanger, prop exhaust up as high as you can (so its touching the rubber bumper surround as it will drop a bit when you tightnen everything up and let go)
tighten up the rear hanger and if its still sitting to the right then do as the guys above have said
ill decide last minute if the weathers looking good ill go, just doin what i done last year tho, £40 in the dci boost down early sunday morning get there for 9ish day at the show then spank back up the road, f**k taking the 172 on a trip that long lol
thats not genuine renault its an OE patern part, thats the same centre section my 172 got put on it under warranty by the Toyota dealership i bought it from, lasted longer than the genuine renault one and even with the shitty tiny pipework my car still made 173bhp at the scottish RR day lol
since i turned 17 5 years ago i have spent, buying and modifying clios.....
£28,000 LOL!!!
on top of that ive spent £7,000 on insurance and probably twice that on fuel!
you could probably say ive spent around 50k since passing my test on buying, modifying, servicing, and everything...
