thats why i wouldnt bother with a petrol as a runabout, my mrs gets same mpg as my 172 in her 1.6 16v dynamique+
however dci mpg + £35 a year road tax + 150lb/ft of torque makes for happy cruising!
i travel about 60 miles per day, i can afford to run my 172 every day if i want BUT i choose not to due to wanting to keep miles down on it, it has a loud exhaust and it gets 34mpg on my daily drive.
ive got the dci100 for every day, on my drive it gets 62mpg, it costs £35 a year to tax and...
i am ticked up to the eyeballs lol i had about £600 of outgoings every month a few months ago, got it down to less than half that now, all because i wanted fast cars and fancy parts, im now learning that if you want something you save up and buy it!!
dodgey c**t ;) lol emm as far as im aware you cant do it on the newer DCi engines, needs to be the old diesels with a certain make of fuel pump
i can get staff discount on somerfields cheapest cooking oil too lol
anyone used the Bilstein OE dampers, looking to get a set for the DCi as its needing fronts anyway, are they worth paying the money over OE ones from a motor factors? keeping in mind i do quite a bit of miles in the dci and alot of that is over country roads etc so like something thats going to...
if it was me id be going N/A, if you want something turbo charged buy something turbo charged thats my way of looking at it, my mate bought a 200sx with a load of work for probably less than a turbo conversion on a clio and its running over 300bhp.
however thats not your question, like i said...
72k iirc, aux belt doesnt need done untill you do the cambelt, even at that you dont really need to do it, if it snaps ur alternator will stop running untill u replace it or fit an elastic band lol
also keep in mind the "aux" belt on the 1.2 16v is just a wee tiny thing that goes to the alternator (never done one with AC right enough if that applys to you) they have no tensioner etc so cost about 40p to replace lol
1.2 16v? yes, belts i cant remember from the top of my head but cant see them being any more than £40 for the kit non genuine, and a genuine pump last time i checked was around £60 be cheaper going non genuine however ive never used a non genuine pump so dunno if they are worth it or not...
do the conversion, i was going to, shat out, regret it to this day even tho i ended up with a minter. any questions on the conversion give me a shout on msn
