    Mk1 Clio 1.8 16v

@Ricardos they're hard to come by really, just have to trawl Ebay, autotrader, classic car sites etc etc and be patient. Definitely try before you buy and ideally get from a garage where car can be inspected underneath if possible

    Mk1 Clio 1.8 16v

they're similar to the phase 1 172's tbh, as in prices are all over place and tinworm is a big issue! lol! for 3k region I would want a phase 1 car, not a phase 2 as imo the earlier cars are more desirable

    Mk1 Clio 1.8 16v

I'd personally say it's a bit pricey, not completely complete and could easily be rotten as the later ones suffered badly when production moved as they began tool up for the mk2

    Mk1 Clio 1.8 16v

Very easy to swap out, the airbag is self contained, zero link to the car

    Monaco 172 (make it mint)

nice work on the stripdown, seems mighty rusty though, good save as much longer and those front inner arches be a goner

The Odyssey (Phase 1 172) - By Coops

agreed, the silver on blue works so well tbh. I hate F1's for their egginess under the slightest bump.....but they suit the car so so well. Williams have been reallocated back to GTT now anyway....

The Odyssey (Phase 1 172) - By Coops

Been playing cambelt roulette for a while now too so she's booked in to see @MicKPM for a sort out next week. As such left her unused last week or two and been exclusively in the RB.... so to show disdain for the situation the stroppy bugger spat her front plate off.... neighbor's knocked on and...

The Odyssey (Phase 1 172) - By Coops

Back on original wheels again now and exacted a superb front nearside bumper mounting point repair using a bit of metal and couple of bolts. It'll do until I get the spare wings not missing the mounting part painted and fitted.

Has anyone relocated their PAS reservoir?

Basically the steering rack and column off an epas equipped car along with the adjuster unit. Then the eBay for the ecu control box
  22. Coops Mk1

Has anyone relocated their PAS reservoir?

After following your project and seeing perhaps direction you're going etc, have you considered converting to epas? Think your build would be ideal candidate for it really, clean the engine bay out and provide on road comforts still

i'd say if the polycarbs didn't have edging already then yes, but as it stands I think if you painted the 'fake seal' it would be too much black

Resurrecting my Clio 182 after 2 1/2 years

as above, just give it a normal oil and filter service and send it no such thing as a 'cheap' dephaser although they're not exactly mega money new. but pointless fitting a used one, use the right bits and new Renault for all the cambelt stuff as its critical to these engines to keep them...

    30k clio mk2 cup racer

missing half the point to, for me owning a cup car would be half about the racing pedigree, what races it was in, who drove it, if it won etc. Old pics of it smashing round the tracks in a pack of other clio cup cars. few scars etc. that's just an expensive replica

    Painting upper engine mount?

yeah just on it really, be fine, jacked mine up loads just on the rubber pad and not even removed the undertray, just make it have it...….lol
