    1.2 16v 0-100 curiousity.

just as pointless in a 172/182 in my opinion, top speed does nothing for me, infact my 172 only does 25mph more than my 1.2 did as it hits the limiter in 5th! they arnt really designed for top speed

    The best performance road tyres???

i find the F1s are very progressive when letting go. conti's give you plenty of squeel to let you know your pushing hard hehe

    Best coils for 1.2 mk2 ph1??

thrashing it or not is regardless, the dampers are poorly made/designed you can drive it as slow or as fast as you want, fucked dampers are dangerous and an MOT failure! ok they may come with a warranty but id much rather get FK's and leave them fitted than the hastle of removing them and...

    The best performance road tyres???

I swear by F1's, tried a few others but always ended up back to F1's i find ContiSport Contacts VERY under rated however, i was very impressed by them, especially in the wet!

    1.2 16v 0-100 curiousity.

not limited by ecu etc its just lack of power that limits them! only way you'll get an extra 40mph mister is by an ebay resistor, infact maby need 2

    1.2 16v 0-100 curiousity.

yep exactly the majority of 172/182 owners tend to think its a completely different car and the 172/182 was a complete redesign! but the majority of us who have owned them all know they are VERY similar. my 172 feels just like my 1.2 would have with 170bhp! apart from the slightly heavyer...

    1.2 16v 0-100 curiousity.

if well set up, down a twisty backroad they WILL keep with a 172/182 no problem, i proved it plenty of times. as soon as straights are envolved they dont stand a chance (obviously) my 1.2 was cheap to run cheap to insure cheap to tax etc and after over £1500 of chassis mods it was brilliant...

    heater problem

Resistor Pack for the fan is gone if its not blowing or only sometimes blowing, its under the scuttle pannel on the drivers side, held on by 2 tiny bolts. (the black plastic bit under the windscreen where the window wipers are just pops of and you'll see it) as for the temperature not...

    Exhaust Mounts

its worth replacing BOTH exhaust mounts at once as they both rely on each other being weak! even at that the rear one will still go soon, i modified mine on my old 1.2 to hold the exhaust up higher because it was sagging

    induction kit for 1.2 16v

no point bothering about power increases most of us have all been there done that if you dont want to LOOSE power then stick a pannel filter (£30) in the standard airbox and that'll free it up a bit but you wont get any power gains or extra noise if you want the noise then just go for teh...

Dogbone Mount for a 2003 clio dynamique 1.2

They only cost about £30 for the 172 one (which fits the 1.2 16v) from renault, its probably worth paying that to get a brand new one instead of a worn one, especially when you've payed postage costs!

Pic Request: FAO: Apex Suspension Kit Owners

Fitting a second hand apex -60mm kit to a 1.2 16v dynamique for a mate and the front is done fine and the rear springs are done but the problem starts when it comes to the rear dampers!! The kit just came with the rear dampers, none of the rubber mounts on the top and it would appear that the...

  29. Martin_172

    such a difference!

not really the 1.2 took more of a hammering than the 172 does. do it every 8 or 9k in the 172
  30. Martin_172

    Think my Clutch is...

new clutch from renault was £60+vat last time i ordered 1 for a 1.2 16v, its not really a hard job to change if you have the tools, if your paying labour then ben_p probably right with £300 ish
