because its a replica thats what replicas are about, if it had 16v, 1.4 16v or 1.6 16v badges on it, people would be able to tell if it was a replica or not which would mean the rest of the work wud have been a waste if thats what u wanted to build

ive only done rear bearings but i find it much much less hastle to just remove the hub and take it to a local garage with the bearings and get it done then take it home and put it all back together. i get it done free at a mates garage but most garages will only take £5-£10 per side

i dont see the problem with 2.0 16v badges if your building a replica and you put them on once you have wheels, bumpers, wings, skirts, spoiler etc but dont see the point if its a standard clio with 2.0 16v badges to make it look "fast"

thats what makes these clios fast, because they are so light, ok 170bhp isn't exactly a lack of power but if you had some merc or bmw with 170bhp it would hardly be fast! so if you make it even lighter then it will be rapid! strip it, coilovers, uprated disks and pads, braided brake lines...
