your engine has a plastic inlet manifold which will blow apart if you run any decent amount of boost, best bet is to get a new 1 made up, loads of people have looked into turbo'ing a 1.2 inc mylself but its just not worth it, i wanted to do it not for performance but just to be different but for...
the proper way? i dont see whats not proper about buying and insuring a car ive wanted since it was released, i dont work long hard shifts to save my money up and not spend it ;)
going to get another years ncb and then think about it again
coz ive already got a mint 1.2 16v, dont want it to look like a 172/182 coz its not, im not wanting to pay £3k a year insurance for a good looking car lol i need somethin thats got power lol
you got any NCB mate ^
to be honest dont really mind paying £3,000+ a year if thats what it takes. working full time now and looking for a new car and seen a a racing blue with the stripes that i like lol
anyone here 18 with a 172/182? sure i remember subway being 18 with a cup?
if so what you paying for insurance in your own name? any ncb etc etc.
cheers
yeah if you look at cups they do seem to sit higher than normal(or so it looks anyway), i thought it was just the different wheels giving this look tho! couldnt work out what it was, think people get confused with the 182 cup which has the cup pack suspension which is 3mm lower but in reality...
seems to be a common problem in winter i remember last year about 40 posts in one day with people complaining about it!! renault replace the dials under warenty but they cant correct the millage so it goes back to 0, and can look dodgey when you come to selling the car...
i wasnt asking if it was worth it, and i dont want it to make my car a 172, if i wanted to make my car a 172 id have bought one, to un reliable for me ;)
anyway, most online places are selling sports cats for £250-ish so anyone know anything about this k-tec one and why its so expensive? i...
whats so special about K-Tec's new Sports-Cat for the 1.2 16v that makes it worth the £350?!?!?!
Motorsport World quoted me £440 for a full stainless steath system with sports cat, and they charge £300 for a cat back stealth so were talking £140 for the sports cat alone?
ive tried loads of different inductionk its inc K&N, PiperX, universal ones etc and none sounded loud like my airbox, they gave it a slightly deeper noise which i thought was good at the time but now i cant even hear them if i try them again lol
im using the standard 259mm disks same as you al with a set of green stuff pads and they never fade, infact once they get up to temperature they bite twice as hard lol
really need to change my fluid too tho!
pads are really good im using them, my mate usually refers to EBC disks as "chocolate disks" tho lol so id avoid them.
im using standard 259mm disks and green stuff pads and they dont have stop when they get a bit of heat in them
Re: Cliosport Calender 2007
is there any chance there will be a non RenaultSport and a RenaultSport calender? i think that would be a good idea, as theres more chance of us non RenaultSport guys getting in it!!
the rear is no problem, ideally for the front you want the wings and side skirts as they all match up.
a good body shop should be able to fit the 172/182 front bumper with your standard wings and no side skirts but it still wont look perfect.
no point in putting bumpers on and not the skirts...
thinking of getting FK's for the 1.2, just wondering how low i can go on 15s without removing the arch liners (removed one before and my headlight got covered in water and kept clouding up!
i know freds is lowered 110mm+ how was this done, id be happy with -80mm tho to be honest
EDIT: also...
