yeah the Michelin's are cheap, fairly readily available and last so so well, they're really hard
the Dunlop's I've used in the past, again second hand eBay purchases, were much softer and grippier but lasted barely 4 trackdays and completely dead
in order for me in terms of making a 'feel able difference' its slicks over diff over RCCK, the full slicks made the single biggest difference ime.

ai the interior one does that as the canbus sends small voltage across it at all times to check for circuit fault I believe

ideally you will need a new gasket as its a crush type so theoretically one use only. I've always just tended to loose the gasket completely and use a thin smear of tiger seal, thin being the operative...
No drone from mine but very little theatre either. I have had both styles of yozza exhaust on it in the past too however..... Now that's theatre!! But drone also!

Washers sounds like new pump required, easy fix. Stereo not sure but defo get it out to check the connections and wiring, could of been bodged. Glovebox the rivets can break or the plastic hinge begin to snap so may need replacing. Heater panel, no idea not up on...

as for the knock, sounds like you have checked most of the obvious ones, its could perhaps be the CV joint however, that would be my next port of call. Oh and check obvious such as...
