awesome video, as some of the others said loved your commentary
who was the idiot in the black clio with silly lights who didnt check his mirror before he overtook? lol
mine is a 1.2 16v, group 3 insurance
apex suspension (springs and dampers)
Standard 259mm vented disks (surprizingly big!) with EBC Green Stuff Pads
Pannel filter with the airbox modified for much better airflow with a cold air feed
123,000 miles of running in
good 195/45/16 tyres on...
but if your as well getting the 1.4 16v then your a swell getting the 1.6 16v and if your as well getting that then why not get the 2.0 16v lol
1.2 16v is cheap insurance for someone whos just past, and likely 1.2 16v with mods will be about simmilar price insurance wise as a 1.4 16v standard...
if you just passed ur test am i right in assuming your 17-18? if so then get yourself a 1.2 16v (could get a 1.4 16v or 1.6 16v but save the money on insurance for mods to a 1.2 16v) obviously that will put your insurance up but its going to do that on any car.
1.2 16v with good suspension...
highest spec is initiale with leather, wood xenons etc standard.
but you can get a dynamique with xenons, climate, satnav or you get a dynamique with no aircon/climate, no xenons and no satnav
my mums got an extreme 4, its terrible. has no electic or heated mirrors, no rear speakers, no air...
install is... impressive!
id remove the stickers tho from the outside and if your going to get it colourcoded (which you should!) then get a dynamique spoiler first and get that colour coded, cost me £40 from cliospares.co.uk for mine and it was worth every penny, probably my best exterior mod...
thats the only thing stoping me for now! kinda going off the 1600 conversion a bit, if the 1.2 gives up will just stick another 1.2 in for now untill i can afford the 2.0 insurance
loads of arseholes about here too.
thing is if i see a 172 or 182 and he's driving fast i try to keep up not for the sake of racing but just to see what it can do, you can see just how much faster it is than your 1.2, but if i see a 172/182 sticking to speedlimits i dont go flying right up his...
nice helpfull answer ^
2005 1.2 16v is a phase 3 with new type engine, its different you cant actually see the airbox as far as i can see (not had a good look)
heres a pic of my mums to give you an idea, i assume the big black engine cover needs to come off to give access to it?
looks mint mate but.... needs coilovers or apex -40mm!
also ph2 rear lights, ph2 bumpstrips and badges, colourcoded bumpstrips & handles and silvervisions while your at it :)
partly down to the miles mate, only mods are induction mods (modded airbox and panel filter) so not anything that gives a decent enough gain basically standard!
just another speedo video on the same private road but this time u can see the speedo LOL
should probably have left it in 4th a bit longer untill 6,000rpm but still gives u an idea how fast/slow it is!

i would have thought it was worth less to be honest? as your average person doesnt want a 1.2 clio with a 2.0 engine because of all the insurance hastle.. but might be worth a bit more to the right person
its on apex springs and dampers, bushes look fine but getting polly ones for it at the end of the month.
on a lighter note ive put the 16s back on with the 2 new tyres at the front and 2 old ones at the back (oposite from what it was before) and its handling fine for some reason? infact even...
if it was my car i would mod the airbox (i have on the 1.2 16v) even if the maxogen does give a slightly noticeable difference its still not worth the money.
my airbox setup has cost me £21 and is twice as good as the torque and power losing k-tec relocation kit pish that i had before, only...
i'll probably get the tracking checked again its just not as fun to drive with the 16s as it is with the 15s.
with the 15s i can fly into roundabouts and have the tyres squeeling like fuk! but never had the 16s sqeeling as i never trusted the car fast, suppose ill get used to it :(
as some of you might know i got a set of turinis for my car and had them on for a week before i took them off because i hated the handling (plus had 2 illegal tyres on them!)
the problem i had with the handling was the wheels were pulling the car a bit on bumps and in bends and i lost all...
