never saw that although sounds like muzz but you said it wasnt?
i did see a flame red 172 with a 182 style exhaust, silver stripes and lexus lights :dead:
i would go for a 182 non cup (full fat) with cup packs if i was you so you get the half leater, climate control, xenon headlights etc.
for me though it would be one of the 172s, eather a ph1 or ph2, ph1 is lighter and supposed to be the best to drive, more raw feeling but still has all the...
im looking for inspiration!
looking for some pics of black non sports with cup spoilers, colourcoded dynamique spoilers, fully colourcoded and some other subtle stuff!
cheers
15" Phase 3 Dynamique alloys (on a Phase 2 car) Lowered -60mm on the Apex kit, done for peroformance but went for the -60mm kit over the -40mm kit so it looked good!
The handlings awesome, even people i know who drive good handling cars think its brilliant (infact alan even said his old...
maby its just me but surely if you were turbo'ing a car you want it to be fast, so you would have 15" wheels on it, a decent bonnet/bumper that allows better airflow etc?
my mates got a Starlet GT turbo, standard apart from an hks filter and a blitz backbox and even he couldnt beleive how fast mine was for a 1.2, obviously not near as fast as his starlet, but compaired to what he was expecting he loved it.
said it handled twice as good as his starlet, he even...
mine starts to do it at about they speeds to, think its somthing to do with the hole under the drivers wingmirror (same as where the temp sensor is on hte passengers side)
erm the campus sports are 16v, yours has the 1.2 badges showing it would be an 8v, it has no dynamique spoiler or fog lights and as you said comes with no colour coded bumpers and bump strips...
not being picky or that just giving the guy an idea of what he'll get!
conversion would have no labour costs since i would be doing it myself with the help of mates, only thing i would have to payfor would be parts.
brakes are fine, rear disks arn't needed but would probably be done at a later date, suspension fits im sure?
chassis is fine, probably slightly...
I use Duckhams 5w50 fully synthetic with genuine renault oil filters seems good enough for the price, i try to change it roughly every 4-5k because of the abuse it gets.
ive got basic advice on oil but from what i understand you want fully synthetic, and some cheap fully synthetic oil isnt...
yep a 172 lump is better but i cant afford it on insurance.
and if i sold mine i would need another £4,000 or so for a good 1.6 16v, its not going to cost me anywhere near that much for the converison.
not much more hastle or money for a 1.6 16v conversion, and its a bit faster than what ive got, need to get insurance quotes before i do anything though
cant afford 172 insurance and 1.2 is at 122,000 miles and ill have done about 140,000 this time next year if i keep doing the same miles im doing now, just dont fancy putting all the work into an engine conversion for another 1.2 16v lump because it wouldnt give me anything to look forward to...
i knew the replys this guy was going to get as soon as i saw the thread title, typical!
what you want to do first mate is sort your suspension, brakes and lose weight. not sure if your talking about a MK1 or MK2 clio here but ill assume its a MK2...
Coilover suspension (or if...
