my mates got one some of the falkirk/stirling guys probably seen it, older shape one black with white wheels.
straight it pulls and pulls on me but not as much as the 172s were on sunday, but corners im actually faster than him (his is standard)
dont do it, quickfit use cheap shite replacement exhausts. ive noticed some of them look even more restrictive than standard (seen them fitted to both a saxo and mondeo get very thin at some parts
go to Motorsport world in lanarkshire they have a custom exhaust centre, £170 for a stealth...
biggest b*****d of a jov ive done putting it thru the grommet, tbh i fitted my front comps, rear speakers and rest of the wiring in less time than it took to do that power wire lol
i got the "clicking" thing when pulling away its the engine moving, it makes a click when it cant move any further in the mount, or thats the only thing i can think about.
i changed the mount yesterday with a 172 one and its much better now car no longer jumps out of gear when your coming upto...
keep looking about mate and you'll get a bargain i only payed £1,700 for mine 3yr old (at the time) 02 plate with 117,000 miles and in need of a bit of tlc, look at it now :)
trophy and V6 spoiler are the same yep.
£200 sounds ok for one, but their are bargans to be had if you keep your eye out and dont rush into buying the first one you see
im from falkirk, always changing between my 2 sets of wheels so its eather this...
or
check the local meetings section if you fancy coming to stirling cruise with us all
not worth getting it from renault you will likely be cheaper to get a custom stainless steel replacement or even a full aftermarket exhaust system made up.
i dont know if its true or what they would change to get it, but 205bhp i would think is pretty easy.
its a revised version of the 172/182 engine, which gets to 200bhp with not to much hastle but you seem to hit a brick wall there and need to pile a load of money in for any decent gains after that
done the dog bone before.
car up on axel stands, trolley jack to hold the wait of the engine, replace mount (2 bolts, cant remember size) - job done :)
maby worth getting k-tec dogbone mount inserts/bushes while your at it?
cheers mate, forgot i had posted this.
done it today and found it easyer just to put a screw driver up the wee hole on the bottom of it and unclip it from there.
didnt manage to get any colourcoded ones today tho :(
ive got the -60mm apex kit and the ride is harsh but i like it that way, infact i dont even notice it being that harsh now untill someone gets in n says "fukin hell!" every time i hit a small bump lol
i like that in the first 2 photos not keen on the back but doesnt look to bad from the front to be honest, seen a lot LOT worse!
good work, colour looks brilliant, and the paint quality in general.
hi, anyone know how you get the plastic cover off the back of the wingmirror on MK2 clios? going to the scrappys to get some colourcoded ones but dont know how they come off.
cheers
clio would be simmilar to 60, suspension mods and stripped and you have a 900kg car with similar/better handling than a 172/182, a capable car for what it is
lol a golf 1.6 fsi and hes taking the piss out you? you dont need a 2.0 conversion to "beat" him, just get some good suspension.
bet my 1.2 16v would kill his golf with just suspension & brake mods.
never driven one but notice they seem to die in 5th so untill 110mph i think the redline is in 4th they are rapid then still keep going but just not so fast, same with most cars tho i suppose
if its so slow how come i managed to pull out infront of our jock when he was going right the way round the roundabout?! eh son ;) i cant have been that far behind!
but seriously check out ma msn name "i want a 2.0 16v conversion now!!" lol love it, just feels a bit high n bouncey for my...
