strip the backseats out, light weight buckets, apex -60mm suspension kit, brembo disks and uprated pads (im using greenstuff) keep the 15" wheels and get some good tyres (eagle F1s or yokos maby)
if you want to do engine mods then go for a catback exhaust with sports cat, pannel filter, remap...
its because most of the guys have actually bought them for this price they are trying to get rid of them before the word gets about that their a lot cheaper from renault now
theres a pannel under the dials (just above the cup holders) it pulls off (pull/slide it towards you)
i found that the wires from my headunit had dropped down behind the heaters and jammed one of the dials, maby something simmilar has happened with yours, just play about untill you can move it...
Ill take the colourcoded door bumpstrips with the smooth badges, can i use my standard 16v badges tho if i dont like the smooth one or has the badge been smothed into the strip so its all one piece?
also ill take the engine cover if your willing to sell it, my one has snapped clips but most of...
dont worry about it mate, ive drove a 53 plate 1.2 16v SXI and it was a complete heap, the clutch was about as light as my accelerator pedal, couldnt use it smoothly the dashboard was made of cheap plastic and it was boring to drive, it didnt seem to pull any harder as it got up the revs just...
i dont have a 172, got a 1.2 16v but the actual car its self is similar..
driving position is fine for me, seats are brilliant, really hold you, and adjustable head rests are nice!
it rattled slightly, worst part being the sunroof which a 172/182 doesnt have so thats a bonus. although my...
do you mean the centre console bit? theres 2 clips just down at the wee vent where the air comes out at the side, one on each side, just pull it and it pops off, easy.
dont lower it on the cheap you'll regret it, save a bit for a decent kit or atleast get some good quality springs then change the dampers when you can afford to.
im getting a loud humming that seems to start about 40mph, sounds to me like it could be a wheel bearing, only noticed it starting today.
any advice on how to work out what side/wheel its coming from? should they be replaced in pairs? how much do they cost? whats needed to fit them? sorry for...
van won, my arse!!
i was pulling on him, if it had been dry and had actually gripped when i droped it into 1st then changed into 2nd i wud have done better lol
plus can the van go round the top corner on forsyths road at 105mph? lol
cant see why its pointless when he has a colour that you cant get a 182 in, so it would be different!
in my opinion tho i cant see it working, but i could be wrong.
nice get it colourcoded, or atleast get some back to black on it! and some tyre gel.
some ph2 rear lights and dual-optic front lights (or what ever you call them) and it will look mint!
and then finish it off with eather a dynamique interior or 172 one :)
also need opinions on this, chances are its getting a 2.0 16v conversion in the future so could FK's be used with a 2.0 conversion or am i better getting 172 hubs, coilovers for a 172 etc etc?
cheers
hi, looking at possibly upgrading to coilovers after seeing my car with 5 people in it yesterday (apex -60mm kit) but i only want to do it if the handling is going to be better than it is with the apex kit as i preffer handling over ride height.
looked into the 1.6 16v for my car, after reading all that was involoved and watching videos i decided it just wasnt worth it as it wasnt that much faster to justify the cost/effort required. so im going for a 2.0 16v conversion.
as for the sell up and buy a 172, i could have much MUCH more...
ive recently noticed that when putting weight on the front of my car (to bounce the suspension up and down) the front doesnt seem much more firm than a standard 1.2 16v
also when reversing out my drive or driving over a small bump the back feels hard but the front seems a bit softer.
now i...
not sure if it was you or not mate, near stirling services, was pulling out of a junction and at the last minute saw a blue clio with black wheels and ph2 rear lights on it and thought it might have been you!
