Well as it's such a nice day I went to take the car out of the workshop. Came back from the toilet and saw smoke coming from under the bonnet.
Alternator. Wonderful. Guess that's that till next week then lol
Besides the price the thing that is off putting is they don't scale well at all in quad SLI. So you're left with one for the hearty price or 680 SLi. On the plus side when losing a couple of frames you gain much better power consumption.
Dual GPU cards are a niche market though, always have been
Never understood this, your engine bay consists of metres of electric cable, terminals, fuses and relays and requires spark. Why would you ever want to spray it with a pressurised hose!
Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner
Yeah looks to be piled on thick, can't complain. If I was to whinge about anything it would be £15 for delivery and took a few days to get here (after completion obviously), but would definitely use them again.
Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner
I'm in Wales next month, so are you lol.
Not a Grass Hopper meat in the mean time? It's almost next door to my work. Also might be at Ace Cafe on the 21st
Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner
strut brace painted in black grey and bolted on
OMP subframe fitted to driver seat, much better driving position now. Leveled out with a welded plate so that it wasn't on the piss anymore.
And then last but not least cleaned polished and waxed.
Still slower than 680 GTX SLi
Article here on what makes the 690 different to most of the sandwich s**t-heap dual GPU cards:

Craig's not wrong, they're pricing it as such because it is a demo car and as such has their name all over it. Although they're entitled too.
But someone will buy it for that, guaranteed. Don't forget Pauls demo Ph1 went for around 7 or 8k. Although in fairness that was proper kitted out. This...

Sending him a 'PM' is the least likely way of getting a reply. Do yourself a favour
Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner
No matter, picking up a spare off James tomorrow, he hadn't used them so wasn't to know. Was just as they're being powder coated at the moment and they called me up to say one was fooked
Well theres a white light when the screens on, but it just looks like the backlight for the screen TBH. Just wondered if there was anything else I could try
Cheers though
As above, feel free to spank me for creating such a crap thread.
Occasionally I can get service by reseating the micro sim but seems to mostly say no service. Then sometimes sim failed. Just seems a bit weird I can get it to work at all. Cleaned the contacts on the sim and air dusted the slot...
Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner
Also stripping down the OMP strut brace and painting that the same colour as the car. As I've already got it, it's a shame to let it go to waste (even if they do complete squat)
Also, does anyone know where I can pick up some longer anchor bolts? The OMP ones...
Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner
Just a few pics of a couple of finishing touches. Struts and upper mounting points sprayed satin black.
Cut away the underside plastic and refibre glassed the front end of the bonnet so that it no longer fouls the air filter
Picked this set of 4 up from...
I take it that obviously doesn't include the earlier mk2s with the ally bonnets. Ph1s are the lightest out of the mk2s, i'm fairly certain they're actually lighter than the cups at curb weight.
