Have you used a test meter to test the continuity of the wires? They're about £5 delivered off eBay and are invaluable when chasing niggly (typical Renault) faults.

If your car has a MAF sensor in the induction pipe it's not advisable to fit Air filters that require oil. The oil sticks to the sensor wire and causes havoc. (My Subaru has one, as did my fabia)

I've just taken an ep3 in part exchange and i lasted about 30 minutes before I put it back on the drive and took something else. Don't see what all the fuss is about at all.
