figured it out, seems the early phase 2 172's came with speedo in the gearbox and someones fitted a later abs type gearbox to this car. never realised the phase 2's came with the geaerbox speedo drives at all however, thought they all had abs setups apart from the cups??

Right, random issue on a phase 2 172 full fat, so ABS pickup for the speedo. the speedo needle is not working at all, doesnt move no matter what ABS has been checked and is fine, working no problems and light comes on and goes out as it should also have also done diagnostic check on the...

phase 1 bits ftw, i have a spare fuel rail with injectors, phase 1 so 2 connections for the lines ;-)

right i have an idle issue on my phase 1 172, engines from a different car and i used the engine/sensors on engine and loom off the donor car but everything else off the original car, ecu etc etc it runs perfectly when cold, idles at 800-900rpm or whatever they idle at!lol! runs fine all...
