bloody hell thats s**t especially when u were selling the car. Look on the good side, if they write it off its an easy way to get the money for the car at a time of the eyar when selling cars is really difficult. To be honest though looks like they'll repair that, if the floor pans still sound...
i've painted a fair few sets. the renault ones are practically anodised not painted, so the closest match is just a bright silver. people say titanium and all sorts of colours but i personally like vauxhall star silver as theres loads of flake in it.
spraying them all silver is easy, but...
are these the genuine renault ones or the uni-part type ones.
i know they're the same price at renault, so i assumed they were the genuine renault items but when i asked they wouldnt say for definete if they were
have you seen any of their work? after my experiences i will only use bodyshops that i have either seen their work, or been recommended by a good friend.
in doing so, theres only one bodyshop local to me that could do it before a 2 hour drive to birmingham lol
bumpstrips need to be 'slid' off the car by sliding the door strips towards the back of the car, and the rear quarter ones to the front of the car
as for the door handles, your right in that you need to remove the doorcard. i cant remember how they're attached but iirc it really isnt that...
gutting, will be good seeing the daft b**ch put in her place though! You'll win the dispute no probs, you'll have a police statement that she fled the the scene of the accident, which to any court proves that she was guilty (wouldnt have fled if she wasnt)
The projector headlights look very xenon like at times due to the strongish white light, defo not xenons though. I'm planning to convert mine to xenon however ;)
^ u dont, as i said you dont have a V5 so you have to write some sort of agreement stating time and day the car was collected and get them to sign it. Best to make the effort to go to the DVLA centre
Nah i mean just pay for them to sand blast the wheels, and then do the refurb yourself. If they wont then try general metal refurbers, for example theres a company by me that powder coats metal parts for track cars etc
nah prob more like about 2 months. You need to wait for your current plate to be officially put into retention, and get the forms back, and then send off the docs to put the private plate on the new car. If you can get down to one of the DVLA centres, for example chester/swansea/coventry etc...
Spacers will make the offset worse. They should fit ok, but couldnt be 100% they'll be sticking out of the arch about 7mm more than they should do, so will just have to hope they dont rub.
left it a bit late to be honest. You need to put your private plate into retention for 12 months which costs 80 quid (if i remember rightly). When you have done this, the original plate can be put on the car. When u wanna put your private plate on your new car its a further 25 quid to take it...
they also do have a different steering wheel than the standard 172s, on the standard ones they were alacantra covered (havent found one that still has a mm of alacantra left on it though lol), on the exclusives full leather
i would have put my money on silver being the most popular but ah well! Tis very very interesting info, useful for people who need paint codes as well.
Paddock green???? no wonder no one bought it lol
