Now thats why i'm tempted because they were so good on my 1.2, but then again the standard suspension on the lower models is death trap worthy standard.
but the way its handling at the mo i'm leaning towards the 'is it worth spending 700 quid on suspension when it handles this well as...
looks awesome daz! I'd def consider scuttle panel washer jets opposed to wiper arm washer jets as i found it more effective. All you need it a three pronged fiat seicento washerjet so you can adjust the three waterjets to the whole windscreen
^ wise words indeed. To be honest at the mo i'm thinking eibachs for the time being (purely for vanity reasons as its just too high at the mo) and the coillies next year after spending my money more sensibly on making the car mint.
Hodgey- your just a bloody bad influence ;)
Getting a laguna one^ cup ones are common ;)
adam - seriously its a mint handling car i dunno if its worth it. Gonna be going to fred to fit and sort the suspension anyway, so i'm sure i'll be persuaded to get it dropped on its arse lol
lol, now thats the problem. I loved the lowness of the 1.2, but then again they are about 2 foot higher than they should be as standard. Its a tough one.
Chris - I actually found the fks to be quite comfortable on the 1.2, maybe i've just got a numb arse ;)
that what I thought to be honest fred, I was shocked by how well it handles. I may be coming to see you for some eibach's very soon ;)
We also need to talk exhausts!
looks good giles, thanks to terrible clio as well, missed you shop the first time i looked through (damned zone alarm)
winston - dont bloody tempt me, i've already had to tell myself that getting schmidts fitted isnt sensible or money effective ;) However some custom BBS's are a definate...
Contemplating getting a set of coilovers for my 172. So far however the handling is superb, and is as good as my 1.2 was when on coilovers. So weighing up whether to just get some eibach/apex springs to get the look and improve the handling slightly, or going the whole hog and getting a good set...
You cant match it, just buy a satin silver from halfrauds and if it doesnt match you'll have to spray the dash inserts as well.
Also how dou plan on spraying the centre section, i thought it was non removable and was integrated to the dash?
i'm thinking hologram grey, because thats got a more goldy quality about it which i think will go with the yellow better.
to get an idea of the colour better this is a pic of taylors ;)
cheers mate :) dropped on to be honest never expected to find a yellow one.
Wheels need a refurb, so i'm trying to decide whether to have them redone in silver or a darker colour
admiral insured me on my 172 for 1200 with a few mods. cheapest by far for me and i'm 21 with 0NCB, and thats with me mum on the policy :o she did bring it down 400 quid tho lol
Engine bays still looking good as every danny, talented young man whos sprayed that engine cover isnt he ;)
only picked my car up yesterday so this thread is really useful for gathering ideas etc!
lmfao^
not getting black wheels on it, may get some anthracite jobbies fitted though, i'm thinkin of copying off Day and getting some 16 inch f1's on the go ;)
