not sure which month it was manufactured craig I shall check when i get chance. I assume it was July as thats when it was mot'd?
thanks for the comments everyone :D
they look alot better in real life. i saw one in someones car (god knows) but it was at a meet. and their surround was more curved than that and looked pretty mint. made me want one, but couldnt find one anywhere
i'd go for the meg 16'' wheels in a charcoal type colour. only problem is thats probably the most expensive option when you factor in buying/refurbing/tyres
^ i have no idea if ive seen you about. see a couple of cups around round stoke and never sure if its you or not. but i suppose you cant miss me now lol
well i suppose i can make a special exception, just this once though. But my car will have to be the king of the yellow submarines, as mine was the chosen one with the alloy bonnet ;)
^ that would be great mate, let me know when u do and i'll have first dibs on em.
Craig - gonna colour code the originals, i did toy with the idea of ph2 sides but then decided to keep it original. What have u decided on?
loving that engine bay btw, get someone to polish that for u? just...
mij29- thats a shed seriously i literally live about 2 miles away from george rhodes so would have been ideal, but did u see those 17s, the vts badges and the mpower badge on the back? the interior was totally shot there was a hole in the carpet and apparently it had done 30k.... yeah right lol...
I was waiting for u to pop up dude, defo putting the ph2's on! Some pics would be great. Mods are defo gonna be subtle, I love the look of it as is, so i'm only gonna do minor things.
I had a broom yellow punto back in the day, and the colour of that was stunning after a polish, so hopefully...
maybe i need to rag it a bit more then lol. I did reset it before I started out so the 47 is just motorway driving.
anyways i'll enjoy it while it lasts ;) Not gonna put a ph2 bumper on it, quite like the one thats on it now, or a cup spoiler or turinis before anyone suggests them ;)
trust me i havent been taking it slow ;) the old owner said that the average mpg she got was 37 -40 so hopefully it'll stay pretty good. I'm gonna have her put onto clip just to check everythings ok, as obviously going from a 1.2 i have no idea how fast they should be lol.
I'm gonna work on getting it mint first, i'm def not gonna do any over the top mods, and i'm not gonna stick any ph2 bits on it (bar the lights as i cant stand the reflector in the standard ones). Need to get two new electric window switch surrounds as the ones in the car are a bit tatty...
^ kinda what i'm going for, although the woman thought there might be a flat spot on one of the wheels so I may just get a new set to be on the safe side, otherwise I'd just get them refurbed. They're actually pitted, due to the fact that any colour bar silver is a continental car and therefore...
I think they made circa 200 sunflower yellows, not sure how many are currently in the UK though.
Andy - will defo have to organise some blue on yellow action lol.
Another bonus point of the car is the MPG, on the way back from collecting her, I got 47 mpg on the motorway, then today...
she'll be making an appointment with you soon for a pc regardless ;)
thanks for the comments guys i'm chuffed to bits with it, never expected to get hold of a yellow one, as they're so fooking rare nowadays. Went a renault dealership today to buy the oil and came back to the car to find a...
i think the owner was allergic to polish, when i went round they were cleaning it with a flash power wash :dead: today only had chance to clay, polish Vanilla moose wax and P21 half the car (the front) the back will be done tomorrow!
