Mine did this and it turned out to be the battery.
The battery had no symptoms, showed 12V, trickle charger indicated it was fine, etc etc. As soon as I turned the key, nothing!

Like others, not quite sure how you didn't see that as urgent.
Given the value of the car (no offence intent) I'd be tempted to try and push as much of that out from the inside and just run it.
Edit. As long as the beam is still straight.
