surely if your car comes up against a speed hump its not rocket science to figure out whats going to come out worse off. if you wanna take the risk, then that should be the end of it. whats he gonna say when someone parks up in a ferrari. "sorry sir this cars illegal as its too low to the...
just a matter of being patient, theres always some that come up.
i was waiting for ages for some cheap 15'' multispokers to come up that i could get refurbed - then not only was there 2 mint sets locally going on the cheap, but i could barely afford to breathe, let alone buy more wheels
is it actually paint? or powder coated?
if its powder coat you can rub it down with wire wool, and then blast it in metal primer, paint and lacquer. or for a semi-bodge but ok job go for some hammerite spray.
if its been sprayed you can again just rough it up and spray over it in...
some of the mods arent to my taste, but the exterior looks really well done compared to most. arches are pretty awesome, but i think you really should have lost the bumpstrips to clean the side up a bit :)
182 alloys are 16's anyway mate lol. I'd gets ome cheap 15s, white always looks good on a dark blue car (have a search for pictures of Has's) other than that i'd colo;ur code it and lower it
wouldnt personally paint your 182 ones black, as its very hard to find a mint set when you actually need them when your going to revert back to standard. it also renders them virtually worthless. go for some cheap and cheerful team dynamics, or opt for some off ebay and then get them powdercoated.
yeah edde always recommends renault standard parts as hes boring lol
i'd go for F1's for the price, but the question is what profile do you go for. i put 50's on, and think they needed 45's from a style point of view. but the 50's did give a comfy ride on normal roads
mine was RR with an extra 10bhp, only othe mod i have is a viper with a custom feed (this is on a 1.2 as well lol) but the car itself feels like it pulls throughout the range and pulls alot nicer
listen to matts advice he knows what hes talking about. dont drill holes in the airbox, might sound good but will destroy power in most cases. If you want a nice sound, get a cheap open air filter, will prob still loose a bit of power but not as much
go to silver systems in leek, hes a top bloke. Called chris, did my stealth system and sports cat and never has a problem with waranty work etc.
see here :)
http://www.silver-systems.co.uk/
my stealth system cost me 250 and did the sports cat for 150 because i had it done at the same time
i've tried to get work done on my car with coils, moderate engine, etc and they wont touch it, mainly because of the coilovers (somehow they can relate almost everything to a car being lowered, sunroof creaking, exhaust breaking etc etc) however if you can physically prove that the fault is...
very nice! just out of interest what happened to you front bumper insert? love both sets of wheels to be honest, but think the colour of the trophy alloys suits the colour of the car better :)
good to see your finally getting there dan.
if you fit them to your car and the missus nags you to get rid of your other set give us a ring, as i need a set ;)
i wouldnt mind something along those lines as my next car, but what the hell has he done to the outside.
i'd buy it, and then have to spend 500quid de-chavving it :(
looks like a bumper for a pre facelift 1998-2001 to me, but im not sure.
2001-2006 didnt have a little cutout for the grille, and it should be one piece with the diamond. unless of cuase you have to bond it onto the top half of the original or summit.
