Why compare modified to standard though, pointless arguement? My biggest motivation for a 182 would be that you could actually survive a crash in one, whereas the 106 is incredibly fragile. Quite funny that people are saying that the 182 is 'bigger' and not as 'economical,' i could get 40mpg...

Nothing really... cheapest racing out there is Stockhatch but he'd need at least an XR2 (which are still fairly common). He could still do hill climbing, sprinting etc. but he may get bored of getting his ass handed to him.

It was 2000 that the facelift came out, but the 3.2 6 speed drivetrain was in 1997+ cars. Yep, if Ali thinks a poxy Renault V6 sounds good he should try a proper one!
