I've had an EP3 and 172 Cup, for smiles the 172 wins, for quality CTR wins.
+1 on Whiteline RARB. Where was your cage from? Not Marc Elsworth's old car was it?
Bit of a blunt instrument when compared to an RS Megane or FRS.
They're thoroughly average as standard, driven plenty in my time. With all the bolt-on bits thrown at them they become pretty handy.
Best mod by far is the Quaife ATB.
Can't argue against the image though, chavwagon of high order!
I can't decide between filling mine with windscreen glue (haven't looked at how do-able this is on the upper gearbox mount) and pulling the engine as far forward as I can, or stumping for the ktec/vibratechnics ones. :S
Dogbone did absolutely nothing for me, and I've replaced both the std...
No problem :) There was a limited edition in Japan called the Zero Fighter, approx 340BHP, bodykit (front/rear lips, sideskirts), different springs, the Work Meister wheels, badging etc.
It wasn't called the Zero Fighter in the UK as that was a name given to a WWII Japanese fighter plane and...
Wheels appear to be genuine Zero Fighter / Extreme items, Work Meister I think.
Although they were an option on the JDM options list, they're gash on a non-ZF.
Nice work none-the-less, I love a VI, last of the proper evos (Group A).
Re: Recommend me some nice I phone headphones (in ear)
Personally, I found the Bose tinny and cheap. Not worth the price at all.
I roll with Klipsch S4I, they block out all of the tube noise and sound terrific. And they're only about £50 on amazon, so buy something nice with the change.
I...
This one, cropped and edited thusly. Person is not the focal point, neither are the trees, it's all about the development over the valley.
Would look good made into a 221:100 ratio-ish canvas.
OEM DC2 tyre was RE010 in the UK, in Jap-land it was RE01-R. Both completely different to the RE040/50.
RE040 is RUBBISH.
RE050 is better, obviously in non RFT.
GSD3 is the best tyre for UK roads. You have to offset wear rate though. Shame they're obsolete now.
Conti SPC I have on the Cup...
Re: JDM Y0 - My new project
Rotten luck on the fender bender. :(
Aren't JDM's meant to have CF dash inserts? (Where the silver is.)
And +1 on removing that fog light !
Was just looking at these today, you get a lot of car for the money. And nicely different (and more of a rarity) than the CTR/VXR counterparts. Insurance was the downfall though, Admiral asking £700.
Nice motor. :)
For sure Fred, I was saying that the days of EPROM are long gone.
I'd still argue a map is pointless if all you've got is an exhaust and a filter on an NA engine.
Do you really think that the biggest commercial mapper in the UK is going to stick a chip in a modern ECU? Of course it's a remap, and because it's the first one they're doing it will be customised. It'll then be used as the base for their future Clio 197 retail maps.
Just do a track day with...
Frankenstein conversions are awesome.
The B18C masquerades as a B16B really, it's a shortened stroke B18C.
B20 block swap is much much easier than a K swap, all the mounts are an exact swap IIRC.

If you've ever changed a memory DIMM or taken a PC apart you'll have this done in about 15 minutes.
Worked a charm, and kanection get a thumbs up from me for service.
The Corsa VXR is probably one of the worst cars I've ever driven.
The steering is abysmal, they're not that quick out of the factory, and nearly every car at some point will suffer low compression in piston #4.
Astra's on the other hand, are actually alright. With some decent suspension, an...
