Been trying to get into an IT career and spending 3 years at college. Seems for me a hard thing to crack. Anyone got any advice for someone trying to achieve a good career in IT?
Kid crashed into my 1.2, dented the door and broke the wing and bumper! I said to the kid just give me £500 and call it quits! He wanted to go through his insurance so I looking at getting about £2000+ out of it. Would of cost him £500 to me but now going to cost he couple thousand on his insurance!
Thinking about buying a Clio 182 from what I have heard I am certainly saving your contact details. Would it effect my quote even tho I have been in an accident that wasn't my fault?
This is true somebody crashed into me it was completely not my fault as I was stationary at the time! Insurance for a 182 jumped from £1100 to £1400! It's ok I suppose because I claimed back the difference from the other persons insurance! But yes we are robbed when it comes to insurance!
That metal box cutting through that cable is scarily enough a really common fault with the 1.2 16v! I had the problem with mine I wrapped insulation tape round the cables to thin them out a little do they was in a bundle then I just put loads of superglue between the box and the engine and then...
I was thinking of getting a 182FF and was quoted about £1500 fully comp with 1 years no claims! But it gone up £300 because I was in a accident even tho it wasn't my fault! :(
Just thought I would make an interesting thread. How much do you pay to insure you car. Details like the car your insuring, your age and how many no claims you have if any.
It was on my 1.2 Clio all that was wrong is the headlight smashed along with the Wing. I put on the insurance the car as £1000 so I guess a wing and respray wouldn't be worth it so wrote it off. I haven't heard from that as to what CAT it is yet. If it a CAT D I will buy it back as all I will do...
I was just curious as I recently been in a accident, it wasn't my fault and my car only had light panel damage. Insurance have written it off so with that in mind I hope it is a CAT D as all I needs is a new wing! The car still has tax and MOT so that still valid for a CAT D?
Just out of curiosity if your insurance writes you car off and you decide to buy it back off them, what are the steps you need to take to get it back on the road? If the car has only panel damage.
I was hoping there was a way of could save about £10,000 and bodge on together but after the pictures I seen its probably good advice to just buy one :) thanks VPower
I did read it correctly, This is why I questioned it. His las statement was to swap all the bits over so I said doesn't that defeat the point ! See I wasn't imagining things :)
To be honest I have no idea where that come from! I must have misread a post I was under the impression somebody said something about swapping parts over from a V6 :)
Oh right thanks and as far as buying a Clio V6 and swapping all the parts to a 182 doesn't that defeat the point? I suppose you could but a crashed V6 and do it. Still a lot of work
