The other driver has excepted full responsibility for the accident. So I not paying a penny towards it. If they want my excess they can take it out of my settlement.
Yh my excess is like £250 but people say I will look my no claims and my insurance will go up! I did nothing wrong! I was just sat there! Insurance is stupid! I will call them see what happens. How much did your insurance go up by? I got personal injury cover so I can claim that .
Was waiting at a T junction minding my own business, then a person cut across and smashed into another car causing his car to come smashing into mine.
Smashed my headlight, bumper, door and wing. Car is set at insurance for £1000 pounds. I currently have fully comp insurance as the other driver...
I feel sorry for the guy who owns this car and he on the forums and see's everybody ripping into his car :) that's what you get for buying your mods at halfords
This happened to me the other week but instead of a snapped springs I managed to snap the strut clean in half, was driving just on a spring for about 10 miles :)
I live in a little town in the Cotswolds first company I went to was Swinton, my dad has been with them for about 20 years so thought they might give me a good price. Oh how wrong I was! 20 years old to insure a 1.2 they wanted £2500! I walked out fairly quickly. Got my insurance £1100 paid out...
Just I got a set of Turini's atm on my 1.2 but planning on buying a 182 with cup wheels so was going to swap over put crappy steels on the 1.2 and sell the cup wheels
Difference between the new style one and the old style is the old one only has one pickup point where the new one has 4. mine broke not long ago just put the old style on as it was about £30 cheaper and works. also the new one has a blue connector and the old is black.
Yh might as well whilst its off probably cheapest option. Like I said just make sure all pistons look ok and are not damaged and sump is clear. Even if you strip it yourself and its all smashed you haven't wasted any money so might as well :)
Or could just get hold of a second hand head and swap them over. Just when the head Is off check the pistons look ok. Maybe a good idea to remove the sump to check for any chunks of metal :) but I'm no expert
Yh I know lol but aux belts is due every 3 years and that's never been changed either so to get both belts, tensioners and water pump I looking about £600 so
That's what I was thinking but if I get it for £2000 then spend the money on it it would be nice! Plus I know the guy has owned it from new and he hasn't blasted it about everywhere
Most important thing is to take the fuse out for the horn ( Could be noisy otherwise trying to pry it off) and the fuse for the airbag. I always disconnect the battery also. Once the fuses are removed leave it for 30 min to discharge and power then off you go.
