I think one problem is what it says on the box isn't neccessarily what you get. I'd really recommend you save up for the coilovers, they are so much better.

With 17s you wouldn't have to go incredibly low until the rear wheels meet the arches, 40mm would do it. If you just got springs the ride would be pretty terrible i imagine. If you can, join the FK Coilover group buy in the for sale section.
