just a couple of pics of the carbon badge fitted and the new plates. as my cars a never ending story ive still got work to do including refitting the splitter, fitting new rear clusters, sorting the stone chips, speedline stickers, and of cause the bloody swirl marks the bodyshop left me. also...
^ looks like a good site. will try the tyre gel, otherwise will order some of the trim gel. the rim wax looks like it might be a good bet too for the wheels :)
got some of this stuff, and its good on the tyres, will it not make a mess the next time i wash it?
got the tyre spray but i'd make too much of a mess with it lol
ive just got a powerflow stealth system with sports cat.
told him i didnt want much noise, but wanted to know i had an exhaust lol. no complaints about them at all, and would definetely recommend them.
yeah. a cat back is normally louder, but only because the pipework will be of a greater bore. you could have standard sized pipework - just to give the look, and a little bit of noise. personal preference tho at the end of the day :)
may as well get a cat-back. no performance gains, but at least you dont have to replace the centre section when it rusts.
its not that much cheaper to get just a backbox either, especially when you can get a powerflow for instance at 260 with a lifetime warranty.
whats the best thing to get the plastics looking like new as my baseplates have really gone discoloured. ive got some auto glym bumper care which seems quite good, but the white stains still come back through.
any 'cheap' suggestions appreciated - otherwise i shall send them off for spraying.
this one was my 'propotype' so to speak. so its simply 3M taped on, however resin would definetely work better over the longer term. i shall see how this one goes, before deciding if it needs resticking.
in all honesty mate its not worth bothering to send it over. i could send you some carbon which would cover it, and would simply need trimming to fit. then you just need to spray your badge black before you stick it on :)
mark.
^^lmao. the carbon ive used is extremely thin stuff, and ive simply attached it using some 3M double sided tape to the face of the badge in two pieces. the badges themselves are 17quid inc. vat if anyone wants to buy one and have a go.
