Dude, hes refering to the 172 model. My car btw is a Mk2 like you said but is often refered to as the Mk1 or Phase 1 172. Gets confusing eh! I have 172 phase 2 rear lights just to add to the issue ;) [Edited by Day172 on 10/31/2004 10:05:56 PM]

My Mk1 is a Mar 01 Y plate (one of the last made) but I have also seen Mk2 on a plate of the same year.

I always thought that if you modified your car you were thought of as a "Car Enthusiast" maybe im wrong :confused:

Dont think you can? When I got my 172, I spoke to my insurance company who then advised that I should carry all my NCD etc to the new car with effect from the delivery date, however they would then cover my old vehicle on a temporary month by month basis on a seperate policy. But it may...

^As above but if its not, any Renault dealer will be able to get it from your registration details on their computer. Providing it has not been changed at some point. If your lucky they may do it for free - they did for me :)

My old 1.4 sport used to feel like the gearbox was frozen at times :( I know it doesnt help you much, but I find that my 172 flys when its cold!

Does the phase II rear boot lid fit quite easily on a phase I or would they of had to modify the car much? Same with the bumper too

Been playing with it tonight and it needs one defiantly. It works in places but takes forever just to get a fix on any satellites only to loose them again shortly after :(. I ordered an external aerial the same day as the GO but every supplier seems to be out of stock until next week!
