Ok, so I tried this trick on my 172 this morning at 5am. Erm, all it did was trigger my laserline alarm :( Bloody imports ;)

I thought my heatshield was knackered on my Mk1 172 but it turned out the rattle was coming from the loose baffles within the exhaust centre section.

Only if you are a named driver on her policy. To be honest most insurers wont touch you until your at least 21 id reckon. If they did at some silly cost would it really be worth it?
