jesus christ what is it with this place these days.
surely you dont need to be an engineering guru to work out that simply adding a bit of extra pipe to an exhaust isnt going to make it any louder? or is it just me?
me and aldo from here were chatting to a guy when i had my ph2 172, he drove and old astra gsi and told me i should get a miltek exhaust as his mate has one on his 182 and it does 170mph!! we just went along with it! lol
i get attention in the 172 because it is chav. lowered with a big exhaust! dont let you kid yourself on otherwise! these are chav cars now that they are old!!
he said the cheap xenon headlights all the chavs are driving around with which i assume he means an hid kit., when fitted in a set of projector headlights these are fine, when fitted in a set of non projectors these give off that beam scatter look i assume he was referring to blinding him (as...
fitting them to a set of projectors though their is no adjustment needed, you simply replace the bulb and assuming the beam level was set properly before then theirs no adjustment needed. problem you get with non projectors is beam scatter everywhere. i disagree that its blinding as everyone...
im not sure if its something to do with idle control or if its just a breather hose, either way its probably sucking in s**t and contaminating your oil!
of course it is look at this RR graph of my box standard 172 look at the dip in power and torque between 4k and 5k.
ph1's dont do this and when my mate drove my ph1 the other day he couldnt beleive the mid range on it, feels like a different car, starts pulling like a ph2172/182 does at 5k...
ktec will be able to map it to do pops and bangs if they do custom maps, i beleive they were for a while?
i dont get this "i dont want to loose the 5k kick" thing, who doesnt want to loose a flat spot?
