Mine does this and the belts and dephaser were changed in November Clart.
I thought it only done it some times but now that i noticed it it actually does it all the time (when its warm)

Washed and waxed the Cup today, first of the year! Ideally it needs machined as the paintwork is fairly swirled/marred (anyone recommend a starter claybar kit?) Anyway, i use Zymol stuff with wash mitts!

The insurance is f**king mental on these.
At 26 i still cant get insurance under 2k, e46 M3's are cheaper, that seems to be a trend with alot of folk - think its the short wheel base and rwd that catches alot of folk out!
You dont know how desperate these people are to sell though.
Markets not only on its arse but all over the place, prediction of sale figures is impossible.
I think you'd be mad to take it to Renault in any case, even if it was £400 all in inc the water pump.
There are that many specialists you'd kick yourself if and when it fails if Renault do it.
