Radiator fan...

Is this supposed to kick in when the cars idling? And also, would a bum thermostat have any play in it? (The needle sits just over half way, i'll be changing the temp sensor and temp sensor tomorrow)

Out of interest, what is the temp that its suposed to kick in at? I have an code reader with live data so can watch the engine coolant "suggested" temp from the sensor but never seen or heard the fan.

You lads know what the trigger temp is?
