    sburrell's dci 100

I initially wanted to do the widetrack on mine but then realised you couldn't on the 100's cos of the gearbox :( Saved me a bit of money I suppose haha. Cheers bud!

    sburrell's dci 100

Yeah 30 is a lot! I think the fact mines only on sportlines is helping avoid rubbing. Did you notice an improvement in the handling with your spacers? Mine feels a LOT more stuck to the road but I don't know if I'm just imagining it lol. I'll try that, hopefully I still have a good bit of...

    sburrell's dci 100

Yeah, there was loads of room under my arches. Looking at photos, they still sit in a bit further in than yours do on 25mm spacers with the sport setup and wings! I've never really properly checked the back so you might be right. It looks like there's at least 20mm between the widest point on...

    sburrell's dci 100

Cheers mate, the 100 is good but it's a lot harder to find some parts for which ends up being a bit of a nightmare at times. They're 25mm, going for 15mm on the rear. I didn't realise that, thought the arch clearance on the back was the same! My wheels are sitting pretty far in though so I...

    sburrell's dci 100

The light i've got lights up a good area behind the car too. I just put it on the parcel shelf as it was the easiest place to wire to since I could just take a feed off the standard light. Couldn't be bothered wiring any further lol. It is a bit of a pain if need to take the shelf out but it's...

    sburrell's dci 100

Got my front spacers in the post on Thursday, fitted them last night Before: After: And a bit of a better picture from today in daylight! Quite happy with the results. Should sit another 5mm further out once I put my 172 alloys on too. Now just got to get some rear spacers fitted. Rear...

    Odd Noise Passenger front Wheel

Why would you need a new driveshaft?
  10. sburrell93

    Odd Noise Passenger front Wheel

Tbh mate it's probably the CV joint, but it's always worth checking for easy fixes! IME a loose hub nut knocks a bit when pulling away at first as it takes up slack but doesn't do it again until you reverse since the shaft turns the other way.
  11. sburrell93

    Odd Noise Passenger front Wheel

Looks like it could be play in the CV Joint. Check it again and if there's movement at the end of the driveshaft (where the hub nut goes on) then the hub nut is probably not tight enough. Kinda seems unlikely that it would be that though. If there's no movement at the nut then I'd say it was...

    Odd Noise Passenger front Wheel

I wouldn't say there should be any movement in the driveshaft. Sounds like the hub nut isn't tight enough. Whereabouts can you see it moving? Also as for the noise, what kind of noise is it? A grinding, clicking, knocking, banging, whining etc etc.

    How's your coolant levels?

Serv light and abs light still on after fitting resistors

Iirc, airbag faults are self clearing. Once the fault is away the light will disappear. I'd double check you're getting a good connection.

DCI cruise control guide - your feedback please

Haha, only Renault could get it wrong in their own manual! For the sidelights wiring, I honestly have no idea lol, never looked at the wiring loom on my car. The diagrams and fuse box layout seems to split the wiring into left and right. I suppose any wire that gets power when the sidelights...

Jan 2014 26th Jan Meet and Greet

Same here hopefully. Need to sort a few things this weekend before the end of the month (MOT due) but I should be good for Sunday.

DCI cruise control guide - your feedback please

Look good mate, nice extensive guide! For the cruise control connector block diagram you've drawn up though, according to what I see on the wiring diagrams, A1 is the dashboard left hand cross member earth, and B2 is the connection to sidelights (which, to get technical, is the left hand...

OBD Wifi scanner not working/slow response

Looks like I need to get an android phone lol...everyone seems to have so much more luck using Torque than anything I've tried on an iPhone! Is it usually the phone/app that has control over the data sampling rate, or does it depend on how good the OBD scanner is?

    Clio Dci 65 Engine Noise/Problem

A little bit of oil in the EGR is nothing to worry about. I'd only worry if you were finding puddles in it lol, then your turbo oil seals are probably on their way out. The oil you're seeing is just from the crankcase breather, which is connected to the black pipe coming from the turbo (hence...

Anyone know if they're the same size for a non sport?

    Clio Dci 65 Engine Noise/Problem

Mine brought a warning light up on the dash but I just reconnected the egr and cleared the fault code for my MOT. Cheap code readers will clear egr codes so it's simple enough. A video would help. If it's more of a ticky noise then it's just a general diesel noise and probably nothing to worry...

    Clio Dci 65 Engine Noise/Problem

Could always be a dodgy egr valve. I cleaned mine out when I got my car but it didn't really help much. What my car seemed to do was if I was going along at a steady speed, revs usually around the 2k mark and then went to accelerate, it would sometimes bog down with a fair bit of smoke, then...

    Clio Dci 65 Engine Noise/Problem

Any warning lights up on the dash? Or do any come up when it cuts out on you? The bit where you say the car hesitates but will pull away with a bit of extra throttle. That sounds like the egr again imo

wiring in more light to the car.

I can't see those 4 led strips combined pulling more than about 0.5A current. You'll be fine to run them off the interior light.

OBD Wifi scanner not working/slow response

FML, my phone is jailbroken! Didn't realise you could make the bluetooth work with it. Might look into that now and try out my mates one with my phone.
  28. sburrell93

OBD Wifi scanner not working/slow response

Nah, any settings are contained within whatever app you decide to use with it. Tried various ones with various settings, some worked a bit better than others but they were all still pretty slow to respond
