theres been numerous times i've thought this, fitting my new gear knob, fitting my 172 doorcards, spraying my dash inserts, covering things in carbon. luckily all turned out well in the end, but at the time you think theres no going back and you should never have started
you see if that was me i'd be really pedantic, take the wheels and exhaust off but standard ones back on, and take it back claiming the same problem, just to prove a point. then i'd sue them for all the extra money i've spent on petrol which i neednt have done.

how would a 182 have the edge on the GSi? it has 15bhp more, more torque, and yes it is heavier but not enough to loose that much performance.
I assume by the new shape your talking about the one before the current sports astra hatch.
i know a good little company in st helens which can mix you some up, always been pretty good. They're called auto paint and their website is http://www.auto-paint.co.uk/SHOP/Out/index.htm?catalog.htm&1. Cheap as well ;)

my tripometer reads around 50mpg when driving sensibly in my 1.2 and my manual calculations show its not a million miles out. 30quid took me about 400mile round trip to norwich which wasn't a slow drive, especially as i managed to get the emissions light to come on ;)
if your pondering whether to go for FK's then i'd definetely go for them, as its cheaper in the long run - you'll only end up buying them in the end. silver x is a good kit as its stainless but if your only going to set it to one height, and then take good care of cleaning them regularly you...
all samco is based on internal dimensions. so measure the pipe you want to cover directly - add a mm or go for the nearest size and order the relevant length.
theres less body roll, and the handling is definetely better - however it is lower and therefore a harsher ride. depends what you want at the end of the day as to whether you class them as better.
