There are better alternatives than APC out there tbh. (says the man who's fitted APC and little else at work! ;))
That reminds me. One of our old Smart-UPS 2200 units has a dying battery. Must get that looked at....

I keep chipping away at this. Went online last night and ended up on a server with everyone running around with crossbows and ballistic knives. Looked to be a free-for-all and somehoe (fcuk knows how) I came third.
Repeated the process over the next 15mins and then quit. The appeal still isn't...
Depends though. The PC version was definitely hampered by a very poor control interface - which was clearly an after-thought of the cross platform devs. A lot of software houses do think about the control options available to the PC player and go out of their way to accomodate them. Others are...
....has anyone got a copy they can sell, donate, give to me?
Just got a few report forms at work that will be much easier to edit and save with the correct version of Crystal.
Please PM if you don't want to discuss on this thread.
Cheers,

I know what you mean. Tbf, I try and do a balancing act with how I approach objectives. I won't sit back for ages (unless there is a definite recon advantage in doing so) on the map I'm currently playing. But in the same sense, I won't blindly charge in and barely make 15ft towards the objective...
Aye - definitely! mine's not through Steam though - I bought the retail version, so you would have to manually look to see if I'm online. Managed to crack rank 35 yesterday, though the attached is a little behind with rank 34.

I hope to god you're wrong. Let the likes of COD and Battlefield deal with the FPS multiplayer aspects. I want my Crysis to be an epic single player game above all else. Much in the same way that the Half-Life series was. I want the story and the general brilliance of it all to immerse me - and...
FLOL. What you say about the reasons for holding back on the gfx hardware for heat and noise are definitely true on Macs. It does however make me smile that the rest of the hardware is really decent stuff and then it gets a good dose of self-fail by a strangled gfx card. It's like making the...
What a bloody eye-opener this thread has been! I thought all issues like this were a thing of the past? Obviously not. :(
Hope you get it sorted Brand...

It's not as bad as that. I had a 4870 for years and then swapped it for a 4890 nearly two years ago. Because I could (and for no other reason) I picked up another 4890 off Fleabay for a ton and now use both in Crossfire. Together, they'll run pretty much anything in 1920x1200 with eye candy...
Added you m8. There's no rush though. I tried running L4D2 last night and the latest update has corrupted it :( Looks like I'll have to do a complete reload of it.......
edit - just retried it and it works again now. :)

Scutch - copied and pasted this from another forum I'm on. It explains why you didn't loose the grenade stat at least!
Game server and stats
The game server reads and writes to the stats database.
When a player enters a server, the server requests approximately 1000 stats for that player...
Hi Gabi,
I checked the PC in question and it uses a DVI-D single link cable. I recall from last time that these are pretty difficult to come across, though they do exist. PC World Business do them, though way too long (and expensive!)

Ahhhhhhh! I see what you mean now - a fecker, isn't it?! We have a few HP/Compaq SFF desktops at work with the DVI-D and VGA ports on the rear. I 'think' that we got a DVI-D specific cable to do the job, but I know where one of those PCs is at work, so I'll check tomorrow.
