I park in the next postcode when I go to a supermarket - never within 100yards of the entrance, unless it's like midnight or something. My car is over 6 years old now with 83k on the clock. But I still look after it. I don't bump up on curbs. I always let the oil temp get warm before giving it...
Just tried the demo. Brilliant. I'll definitely be buying it.
Makes your PC work like a b**ch with all the options on though. Both my gfx cards were sounding like jets taking off - lol.

I know there was a CS member on the Steam group that pumped shedloads of hours into Empire. It might have been you? (/small stalker.)
Triggered off the demo download before leaving home this morning. Probably give it a bash at weekend now...

I actually preferred System Shock 1 for some reason. SS2 was epic - I won't deny that. But the original was a jaw-dropper on release - badly timed when I was at uni and had coursework to do - lol.

Re: Crisis 2 demo out

Must be a bit of a change going from forced induction to an NA engine? I love the 'older' type of turbo power delivery, rather than the smooth and almost linear torque curves of modern turbo cars. I had a Punto GT for over 6 years before the 182 and the power delivery was just like a switch...
Thanks m8! Aye, the 'ol girl isn't looking too bad for 6 years and 83k on the clock.
Are you from A-U-L yourself? Or just passing through? Born and raised there myself, but I live up between Bury and Rochdale now. I was on the way over visiting the parents who still live there.
Nice to...
Re: Hankoook V12 the best for the price??
Try finding some though. More elusive than seeing Lord Lucan bounding across the fields a-top of Shergar....

I so missed the boat with that one. And the sole reason why I still have my PS1 packed up in a rucksack somewhere in meaning to play it!
Start off all eager to go. Disc access and some rambling story about a spikey-haired deewarf with a big weapon. Plenty of disc access. Compulsory side-kick...
On Patterdale Road. Not sure if it was Storm Grey or Nimbus :o - but it looked bloody smart anyway. Nice thumbs-up from the driver when I let on too. :)

Four years on - and it's still a benchmark. :)

I had another quick go of it this morning. A great single player campaign (even though I haven't got to the crappy zero-g bits yet) and it's still very...
Same here m8. I think I'll make do with just reaching Rank 40! :)

Yes, yes, ye-hes! The sound effects on that are pretty damn awesome. Love the firing smoke from the HMG sequence - good attention to detail there.

Zen Internet for me. Nice and local (Rochdale) - though I'm right at the limit of the exchange in Bury. Currently on about 1.5MB. No chance of cable here.... :(

Gaz - BDE refers to Borland Database Engine - something which I've had several issues with, years ago.
It sounds like you need a seperate BDE install for Windows 7. There's one on this link. It appears to be free to try and $25 to buy. The download is about halfway down the page...
Ah. You had it on the ST. Us 'poor' Amiga owners had to foot the extra £65 or so for the 512k memory upgrade! But yep, it was an awesome game. My m8 completed it many times - even trying it with just one character (Stamm the dwarf, iirc) and managing it. FTL means something completely different...

Bring it on COD. Just how the fcuk are you going to compete with gameplay like that? Sorry? Increase the number of guns to 2,542? Oh? And there's more? Ah, there's 5 seperate achievements now for just joining a game? I see.... ;)

Exactly the same for me. BC2 is much more cerebral I think and feels far more rewarding when a flanking move or assist for your team works before your very eyes. Even tonight, I jumped aboard as a turret gunner on an Abrams on Arica. At the end of the round (even though our team lost) the tank...
Iirc, there was a Trophy owner on here who said when his OEM backbox failed, there was loads of water in it.
OEM zorsts suck length anyway. Overweight, puny sounding, don't fit flush, have small exit pipes and are made of nothing more structurally robust than cat sick.

Mine droned for a few weeks until I got them replaced boths sides - though it was just the offside rear that was the issue.
You 'should' be ok. But how quickly can you get the replacement on?

Lol - interesting that 'Psycho Gunner' is a Rank 50 too. The vast majority of Rank 50's do seem awesome, but I've played with some where I definitely have doubts.
